An Affair With The Ceo (Natasha and Jared) novel Chapter 315

Chapter 315 His Punishment

Chapter 315 His Punishment

“I don’t know, I really don’t know…” Joan shook her head frantically.

She looked absolutely terrified of Percy.

“In that case, don’t blame me for showing no mercy!” Percy’s handsome face was set in a cold, devilish look.

It was enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.

“What are you planning to do?” asked Joan.

Joan’s eyes were wide with terror as she looked at him, her voice shaking without her even realizing it.

Percy’s face was chilling. “You’ll know soon enough,” he said coldly.

With that, he shot a look at the driver.

The driver immediately got the message and steered the car toward the outskirts.

Joan’s heart started racing with panic, and she couldn’t control it.

She had a bad feeling in her gut that something awful was about to happen.

Once they reached the outskirts, the car started winding its way up a mountain road, twisting and turning at every corner

Little by little, the road got narrower and narrower.

It also got muddier and muddier.

Until finally, they were deep in the mountains.

The mountain was wild and untouched.

There was almost no sign of development there.

Tourists never set foot in this place, and even the villagers rarely came out this far.

Their luxury car was parked deep in the remote wilderness.

Percy dumped Joan out of the car.

Then, expressionless, he said, “Bet you’ve never been out here before, huh?”

Joan shook her head without thinking.

Percy’s gaze was downright menacing. “This mountain’s almost untouched. There are probably tigers, snakes, and wolves. The dangerous beasts are everywhere. Hope you enjoy it here.”

Joan’s eyes widened in utter disbelief.

“You…” she stammered, barely able to get the word out.

Joan thought, ‘Is he going to abandon me here to survive on my own?

‘Does he have any decency left?’

Joan was already hurt.

Even though she’d injured herself on purpose to frame Natasha.

But her wounds were real, and the smell of blood was unmistakable.

Any predator out there could catch that scent and hunt her down.

Joan could end up torn to pieces out here.

“Percy, I know I messed up. Please, don’t do this to me!” Joan cried out, her voice trembling with fear.

With a thud, Joan dropped to her knees right there on the ground.

She clung desperately to Percy’s pant leg, choking back sobs as she pleaded with him.

But Percy remained completely unmoved.

It was Joan’s lies that cost him the golden opportunity to reunite with Natasha.

He’d spent years searching for Natasha, only to end up recognizing the wrong person.

And in the end, he even hurt the one he’d always wanted to find.

If that wasn’t irony, what was?

Now things had gotten this far.

It was all because of Joan.

Percy was never going to let her get away with it.

Percy brutally kicked Joan, sending her crashing to the ground.

“Get lost!” he bellowed.

Without another word, he spun around and headed for the car.

Joan was desperate.

She cried out after him, “Percy, I’ll tell you… I’ll tell you who was behind all this!”

Percy stopped in his tracks.

Something about that answer still piqued his interest.

Joan’s eyes flickered with calculation, then she blurted out, “It was Jared!”

She knew that if she named anyone else, Percy wouldn’t believe her for a second.

So she decided to tell Percy exactly what he wanted to hear.

Percy’s pupils contracted suddenly.

He wasn’t even a little surprised by her answer.

It was what he’d been expecting.

Jared was obviously messing with Percy on purpose.

He wanted to wreck whatever Percy had with Natasha.

Percy’s hands balled into tight fists.

His eyes burned with hatred.

He turned on his heel and strode off.

Joan scrambled after him, panic rising in her chest. She was terrified he’d abandon her out here.

Percy walked a few steps, then almost forgot about her, as if she barely existed.

He turned, shooting her a cold glare. “Honestly, I was going to leave you deep in these wild mountains and let you fend for yourself.”

Joan couldn’t help but smile in relief. “See, I knew you wouldn’t abandon me, Percy.”

Percy gave her a cold look from above. “Don’t get too happy yet. They’re working on the road around here, so it’ll be blocked off for about a week. Try surviving for a week first, then we’ll see.”

Joan was totally thrown.

Her heart shot straight up into her throat.

“A week? What do you mean? Aren’t you taking me with you right now?” she stammered, panic in her voice.

She turned ghostly pale with fear.

Percy gave her a dismissive glance. “Did you not catch what I said earlier? You’re staying here for a week. I’ll send someone to pick you up next week.

“If you’re still alive by then.”

Joan’s heart plummeted.

She thought, ‘He’s going to leave me out here for an entire week?

‘How is this any different from just killing me?

‘The only difference is, I’ll have to spend a week living in constant terror, wishing I were dead.’

“Percy, how could you do this to me?”

She shouted at him, refusing to back down.

Tears started pouring down her face just like that.

But Percy remained unmoved.

Instead, he quickened his pace, got into the car, and drove off.

He just left her there for real.

For a moment, the only thing echoing through the deep, wild mountains was Joan’s desperate, heart-wrenching cries.

On the way back, Percy kept telling the driver, “Step on it! Faster!”

He was so fired up, he could barely sit still.

His excitement was written all over his face.

It turned out Natasha was his first love, the Unattainable love.

The truth left him amazed and thrilled.

Percy no longer had to agonize over making a choice.

He could finally go back to Natasha, reunite with her, and rekindle their relationship.

This time, Percy was determined to start over seriously, with everything he had.

He swore he’d never let Natasha slip through his fingers again, not like before.
