Chapter 316 Asking for a Chance
Chapter 316 Asking for a Chance
Percy roared, “Find Natasha! Turn the place upside down if you have to, but bring her to me!
“Bring her to me, dead or alive!”
‘Natasha can’t get hurt, never, Percy thought desperately.
He’d only just managed to find her after all that searching.
He hadn’t even gotten the chance to make things right with Natasha yet.
‘How could something happen to her right now, of all times?’ Percy thought, his heart pounding with anxiety.
The next day, Natasha woke up to find herself lying in a hospital bed.
She was about to sit up when a familiar voice came from beside her. “Don’t move…”
Natasha turned her head.
Sure enough, it was Jared’s familiar, handsome face.
His big eyes were gentle and full of concern as he looked at her.
“The doctor said your wounds have just been bandaged. It’ll take a few days to heal, so you need to stay in bed for now,” Jared explained softly.
Natasha nodded..
She remained lying on the bed.
As memories of what happened flooded back, Natasha couldn’t help but feel sentimental.
She’d been kidnapped by Percy and Joan’s people, and once again, Jared had come to her rescue.
Jared always appeared right when she needed him most.
He was always there for her, never once leaving her side.
“Thank you,” Natasha said.
After a moment’s thought, Natasha decided to thank him herself.
Jared’s eyes grew darker, a hint of teasing in his voice. “So, how are you planning to thank me?”
Natasha paused, surprised.
She never thought he’d ask her that.
“What do you want?” Natasha asked, blinking at him.
Jared pointed right at her. “You.”
Natasha froze, caught off guard.
She quickly turned her face away, cheeks burning. “Don’t tease me.”
Jared reached out and firmly turned her head so she was facing him again.
He stared deep into her eyes, his voice low and unwavering. “When have I ever joked with you? I’ve never been anything but serious about you.”
Natasha looked back at him.
For a moment, she was at a loss.
She honestly didn’t know how to respond.
‘So, just because he rescued me again, am I supposed to throw myself at him?’ Natasha thought.
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
Right after, a couple of medical staff members came in to check on Natasha.
Jared stepped outside to wait while they examined her.
After a while, once Natasha’s check-up was done, Jared came back in with breakfast he’d just bought.
He brought a bowl of oatmeal to her bedside.
He started feeding her, one spoonful at a time.
Natasha wanted to refuse at first.

But after thinking about it, she decided not to protest.
She’d just woken up, and her whole body felt weak.
She couldn’t even feed herself.
So, she figured she might as well enjoy being pampered by him.
After she finished the oatmeal, Jared gently tucked the blanket around her.
He leaned down and kissed her forehead. “Sleep a little longer.”
Natasha closed her eyes and quickly drifted off to sleep.
Jared had planned to stay by her side the whole time….
But then, he suddenly got a call.
There was an emergency at the Gontix branch, requiring him to head over there immediately.
Jared had no choice but to leave Natasha behind and head straight to the airport.
But just as Jared left, another man quietly entered Natasha’s ward.
When Natasha woke up, the man beside her was no longer Jared but Percy Grosso.
And now, she found herself riding in Percy’s luxury car.
Natasha blinked herself awake, and the instant she saw Percy, she looked utterly stunned.
For a second, she wondered if she was dreaming.
‘What the hell is going on?’ Natasha thought, totally lost.
The last thing she remembered was that Jared was the one with her.
So how did she wake up with Percy sitting next to her instead?
This wasn’t the hospital, that was for sure.
If anything, it felt like she was in a luxury car.
When Percy saw Natasha wake up, he spoke softly, “Hey, you’re awake. Are you feeling alright?”
He’d found out which hospital Natasha was in, and the moment he got there, he asked her doctor about her condition.
Once he knew she was okay, he finally dared to take her away while she was still asleep.
Percy’s main purpose was to get Natasha away from Jared.
So Natasha would be with him.
Natasha shook her head, still confused. “How did you end up here?”
Percy was looking at her with a softness she hadn’t seen before.
“I was the one who brought you out of the hospital just now. I’ve got everything sorted for you. You can stay at my villa and recover,” he said gently.
For some reason, Natasha felt downright uneasy whenever Percy gave her that look. It made her skin crawl.
And what he said made her want to push him away even harder.
“I want to go back to the hospital. I’m not going to your villa with you,” Natasha blurted out, her voice trembling with anger.
There was no way she was going back to Percy’s villa.
Last time, Percy had her snatched in a shady car, locked up in that villa, and she nearly got blown to pieces.
Joan didn’t just want to ruin Natasha’s face. She even hired people to violate her.
Now Percy was trying to take her back to that villa again. Wasn’t that basically sending her to die?
“Relax. We’re going to the Grosso family home, not that villa outside. What happened before will never happen again. And you’ll never see Joan ever again,” Percy said.
He held her hand, looking her straight in the eyes as he made his promise.
But Natasha didn’t buy a word of it.
She pulled her hand out of his grasp.
And she shot back, her tone unyielding. “I’m not going back with you!”
Percy didn’t lose his temper like before.
Instead, he spoke to her with surprising patience. “Hey, don’t be difficult. You’re all banged up. If I let you out right now,

where would you even go?”
Natasha shot back, unable to hold it in any longer. “Honestly, anywhere is better than being stuck with you”
A flicker of hurt flashed in Percy’s gaze.
If this had been before, he would’ve blown up the second she acted like she couldn’t stand him.
But now, he couldn’t even say a harsh word to her.
It was all his fault.
If he hadn’t spent so long searching for the wrong person, if he’d found her sooner, none of this would have happened Things wouldn’t have gotten this bad between them.
