Chapter 320 He’s Taking Her Out Tonight
Chapter 320 He’s Taking Her Out Tonight
Natasha couldn’t help but mutter, “Long as you know…”
‘Well, at least he knows his limits, she thought.
Percy didn’t catch what she said. “What did you say?”
Natasha urged impatiently, “Hurry up!”
Percy didn’t pay any mind to her little mood.
Instead, he ordered the maid to make another bowl of pasta quickly and serve it.
While Natasha ate, Percy watched her the whole time.
Natasha was starving, so she devoured her food without a second thought.
When she looked up, she caught Percy staring at her, his gaze never wavering.
Moreover, the way he looked at her was unusually burning with passion.
‘This is seriously weird, Natasha thought.
Percy had never given her that kind of look before.
Natasha wondered, ‘Is it because I helped him out back when he was getting bullied?
‘How did I never notice it meant so much to him?’
“I’m full,” Natasha said.
She polished off her dinner in record time, not intending to exchange another word with Percy.
Natasha spun around and headed upstairs to her room.
“Wait!” Percy called out.
He stopped her.
Natasha had no choice but to stop.
“Wanna go out tonight?” Percy suddenly asked, his tone full of interest.
Natasha turned her head and stared at him in disbelief.
She thought, ‘Has Percy lost his mind?
‘Did he just ask me to go out?
‘Is he seriously thinking about taking me out?’
“Didn’t you say I couldn’t go out because I’m still not fully healed?” Natasha said.
She threw his own excuse right in his face.
Percy came over, grinning. “Didn’t you say you were all healed up?”
Natasha was at a loss for words. “I…”
Percy chuckled. “Well then, let’s step out for a bit and get some air.”
Natasha had to make up an excuse. “I’m not feeling well tonight.”
Percy didn’t push her.
“Fine, we’ll go tomorrow night. I’ll pick you up after work,” he said.
Then he left.
He barely gave Natasha a chance to protest.
Natasha didn’t bother chasing after him to argue.
She had more important things to deal with right now.
Once she was sure Percy was gone, she dashed upstairs to her room.
She grabbed her phone and called Jared back.
If anyone could save her now, if anyone had enough power to outmatch Percy, it was Jared.
Unlocked!
There was no one else.
That meant Jared was the only one who could save her now.

Chapter 320 He’s Taking Her Out Tonight
If she had to pick between Percy and Jared, she’d choose Jared in a heartbeat.
Natasha anxiously dialed Jared’s number.
But the phone just kept ringing, over and over.
No one answered.
Natasha thought, ‘What the hell is going on?
‘Why isn’t Jared picking up?
‘He literally just called me.
‘Where did he disappear to all of a sudden?’
Just as Natasha was getting anxious, Percy’s voice suddenly came from behind her.
“Who are you calling?” Percy asked.
Natasha jumped, startled.
She spun around, startled. “Weren’t you supposed to be gone already?”
Natasha had waited for Percy to leave before calling Jared.
‘Why does Percy keep popping up out of nowhere?’ Natasha thought.
“I missed you again, so I came back to see you,” Percy said.
His gaze was mysterious, and his lips barely moved as he spoke.
Natasha wondered, feeling baffled, ‘Came back to see me?
‘Doesn’t he realize how ridiculous that excuse sounds?’
Natasha couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
Percy demanded, “Who were you calling just now?”
His voice was noticeably firmer, whether he realized it or not.
Natasha’s eyes flickered.
She knew there was no way she could avoid giving Percy an explanation now.
If he got hold of her phone and checked the call log, he’d see she had reached out to Jared herself.
That would only make Percy even angrier.
And there was no way he’d ever let her go then.
“It’s… Dorothy…” Natasha blurted out.
Her voice was rushed and anxious.
Percy narrowed his eyes. “Your best friend?”
Natasha nodded quickly. “Yeah, I used to check in with her every day to let her know I was okay. But I haven’t talked to her
in a few days, so she’s probably worried something happened to me. I had to call her and let her know I’m fine…”
Her voice got quieter and quieter as she spoke.
Percy’s eyes grew more piercing as he watched her.
It was as if he could see right through her lie.
After a long moment, he finally went back to his usual expression.
“Since you miss her, I’ll bring Dorothy over to see you tomorrow,” Percy said.
Natasha was about to say it wasn’t necessary, but Percy had turned and walked away.
After he left this time, Natasha didn’t dare risk calling Jared again.
She was terrified Percy might double back unexpectedly.
If he caught her while she was calling Jared, she’d be in real trouble.
She’d lose her only lifeline to Jared for good.
Her only hope now was for Jared to call her instead.
The sooner, the better.
She couldn’t stand being here for another second.
Chapter 320 He’s Taking Her Out Tonight
Even one more second here made her feel sick.
Natasha never expected Percy to actually bring Dorothy over to see her.
But the next day, Percy did bring Dorothy over.
The first thing Dorothy blurted out when she saw Natasha was, “So what’s the deal with you and Percy?”
Natasha opened her mouth, but couldn’t get a word out.
Natasha thought, ‘I seriously have no idea how to explain this.
‘How did I even end up here with Percy?
‘I’m not actually with Percy.’
“He forced me to come here…” Natasha said.
She told Dorothy everything. How she’d been kidnapped by a black car, held captive by Percy, and even got caught in that explosion with Jared.
Dorothy was nearly speechless with shock.
“Damn, how did you end up going through all that in a few days?” Dorothy blurted out, her eyes wide in shock.
Natasha sighed. “I swear, it feels like I’m stuck in some crazy dream.”
Especially with how Percy acted around her now, it was like he did a total 180.
Dorothy couldn’t help but wonder, “Did Percy realize you’re the girl who saved him back then, and now he’s got a thing for you?”
Natasha couldn’t wrap her head around it.
