An Affair With The Ceo (Natasha and Jared) novel Chapter 43

Chapter 43 Does He Like Her?

Chapter 43 Does He Like Her?

“Dad just asked about you. Get to the Grosso estate now,” Percy said coldly.

Jared glanced at the woman sleeping beside him. “She’s still asleep. She probably won’t come over.”

Percy’s eyes narrowed. “Who are you? Why do you have my wife’s phone?”

Jared replied, “I’m her boss. She fell asleep in my car.”

Percy felt a storm brewing inside him.

Before he could say anything else, the call was cut off..

He slammed his fist against the wall in anger.

‘Did Natasha suddenly refuse to come back to the Grosso family with me, agree to the divorce, and even let me be with Joelle all because of her boss?’ Percy wondered.

A wave of unfamiliar jealousy crashed through his chest.

He was caught off guard by his own reaction.

No one had ever provoked such extreme emotions out of him except Joelle.

Percy wondered, ‘Is it because I think Natasha might be seeing someone else behind my back?

‘Yeah, that must be it.’

Even if he didn’t love Natasha, the idea of her getting involved with another man behind his back was something he just

couldn’t tolerate.

When Natasha woke up, the luxury car was parked right outside her place.

Jared was gone. Only the driver remained.

“Mr. Rundell…” Natasha asked, surprised and confused.

The driver quickly explained, “Mr. Rundell had something urgent come up, so he left.”

Natasha nodded, thanked the driver, and hurried into her building.

At the Rundell mansion.

“Mom, you pretended to be sick just to get me home for a blind date with the Hopkins family’s daughter?” Jared confronted

her.

Jared had originally planned to stay in the car with Natasha until she woke up.

But halfway through, he got a call from one of the Rundell family’s staff, saying his mother’s heart condition had acted up again and he needed to come home immediately.

So Jared had no choice but to leave Natasha behind and head to the Rundell mansion alone.

But when he got there, he realized he’d been tricked.

His mother, Luna Rundell, was perfectly fine. She was even holding hands with Lizzie Hopkins, laughing and chatting away.

Jared turned to leave, but Luna called him back, insisting he stay for dinner.

With Lizzie’s parents present, Jared didn’t want to embarrass Luna, so he stayed.

But once dinner was over and the Hopkins family had left, Jared finally snapped.

“How can you say I tricked you? I really did feel unwell earlier, but the moment I saw Lizzie, all my discomfort vanished,” Luna said with a smile.

“If you were going to set me up on a blind date, couldn’t you have at least given me a heads-up?” Jared asked, his voice low

and serious.

Luna shot back, “Be honest. If I’d told you ahead of time that you were having dinner with Lizzie and her parents tonight, would you have come home?”

Jared didn’t even hesitate. “No way!”

Luna sighed, “See? I had no other choice. You’re not getting any younger, and you still don’t have a girlfriend. Are you really planning to stay single forever?

“Lizzie just got back from overseas, and she’s a perfect match for you in every way! If you could just be with her…”

“I don’t like her!” Jared suddenly cut Luna off.

Luna frowned. “So what kind of girl do you like? I’ve set you up with so many heiresses from prominent families and you haven’t shown interest in a single one. Are you just too picky?”

As soon as she said that, Jared couldn’t help but picture Natasha in his mind.

Jared was caught off guard by his own reaction.

Luna asked what kind of girl he liked, and the first person that came to his mind was Natasha.

‘Wait, am I actually into her? Jared thought.

Seeing that Jared couldn’t come up with an answer, Luna was now sure he was just way too picky.

She kept nagging him, ranting so much that she nearly gave herself another heart attack from anger.

Thankfully, Sharon stepped in just in time, and Luna reluctantly agreed to let Jared off the hook for the moment.

After finally getting their mom to leave, Sharon walked over to Jared. “Seriously, you need to start taking your own love life seriously. Stop making Mom worry about you all the time.”

Jared raised an eyebrow and shot back, “You haven’t even sorted out your own love life, and you’re still lecturing me?”

“You!” Sharon’s face fell.

Jared always knew how to push her buttons.

She shot him a glare. “Honestly, are you just not into women? If that’s the case, you should just come clean to Mom so she can stop trying to set you up.”

Growing up, Sharon had never seen Jared with a girlfriend.

While other rich heirs were always surrounded by girls, swapping girlfriends like they were changing outfits, Jared was just different.

He seemed almost too indifferent about dating, like he just didn’t care at all.

Sharon was starting to wonder if he was actually into girls or not.

“Sharon, seriously, you’re worrying too much,” Jared said, giving her a lingering look before turning to leave.

Jared shot her a meaningful glance, then walked away without another word.

Ever since he met Natasha, it was like his dormant male desires had been jolted awake. Suddenly, he felt things he never knew he could.

It wasn’t that he wasn’t into women, or that he didn’t want one in his life.

He just hadn’t found the one he truly wanted until now.

Jared got back into his car and was about to tell the driver to head out.

Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a flash of blue in the gap between the seats.

He leaned over, picked it up with his fingers, and took a closer look.

It was a sapphire earring.

Natasha was the only woman who’d ever been in his car.

So this earring had to be hers.

He couldn’t help but smile.

It was late at night.

By the time Percy got home, it was already past midnight.

Natasha was already fast asleep.

Percy’s father’s words from the family dinner kept replaying in his head.

His father had told him to have a child with Natasha as soon as possible.

He was on his way to his room, but suddenly stopped in his tracks.

Percy made his way to Natasha’s bedroom door.

He pushed the door open and stepped inside.
