Chapter 66 Not His Fiancée
Chapter 66 Not His Fiancée
Natasha’s cheeks turned red, and she shook her head right away.
Natasha cursed inwardly, ‘Damn it.
‘What the hell am I even thinking?
‘Why am I suddenly lusting after Mr. Rundell’s body?
‘It’s been ages since I had a guy, no wonder I’m so thirsty.
‘And with my nerves acting up lately, of course I’m losing it.
‘Yeah, that’s it!’
Natasha quickly turned her face away, too embarrassed to meet Jared’s eyes even for a second.
“You’re awake?” Jared said, his gaze lazy as he looked at her.
He walked over to the bed, lifting his eyes with a relaxed, almost languid air.
Natasha nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. “Mr. Rundell, why did you bring me here?”
Jared shrugged, looking resigned. “You got drunk last night and passed out in my car.
“No matter how much I tried to wake you, you wouldn’t move. What was I supposed to do, just leave you on the side of the road?”
Natasha’s face flushed even deeper, and she was so embarrassed she couldn’t get a single word out.
She really had gotten way too drunk last night. She couldn’t remember a thing.
Even if she couldn’t recall whether he’d tried to wake her or not, the fact that she’d clung to his car last night and now ended up in his bed just felt all kinds of wrong.
Natasha scrambled out of bed in a hurry.
She kept her head down the whole time, too embarrassed to look at Jared.
She was so flustered that she almost lost her balance and fell right on the floor.
Luckily, Jared’s arm shot out just in time, wrapping around her waist to steady her.
Natasha clung to his neck without thinking, holding on for dear life.
Her world spun.
In a suggestive pose, Natasha ended up sprawled on top of Jared, with him pinned beneath her.
Natasha yelped.
Natasha’s eyes flew open as she let out a startled cry.
Seeing Jared’s handsome face so close beneath her, Natasha felt her breath hitch.
She instinctively tried to get up, but Jared pulled her closer, his hand tightening around her waist.
Her soft body was pressed right up against him.
Her subtle, pleasant fragrance enveloped him, making it hard to focus on anything else.
Jared’s throat tightened, and he couldn’t help but let his thoughts run wild.
“Mr. Rundell, please, let me go…” Natasha stammered, her voice shaky with shock and embarrassment.
She was frantic to get off him, her heart racing from both surprise and shame.
But Jared held her tight, refusing to let her escape.
“No way!” he shot back, his eyes locked onto hers.
Jared’s gaze was intense as he said, “I saved you last night, brought you home, and took care of your drunk self. So, tell me, how are you planning to thank me?”
“Repay you?” Natasha paused, her face looking even more innocent and confused.
Natasha thought, ‘I never thought he’d actually want me to pay him back.
‘He’s Mr. Rundell. He’s got everything. Helping me out was just a small favor for him, so why is he being so petty about it?’
“So, how exactly do you want me to thank you?” Natasha asked, her voice cautious and a little playful.
‘If you want money, I’m broke. If you want my life, well, that’s all I’ve got left; she thought.

After all, he’d already drained her dry the last time she paid for his services.
‘Don’t tell me he’s planning to make me rack up even more debt with him, Natasha fretted, panic rising in her chest. Jared looked at her with a fiery gaze. “How about you ditch your husband, divorce him, and be with me?”
Natasha gaped at him, utterly shocked.
He’d said this more than once.
‘Even if he’s just messing around, hearing it over and over is starting to feel real; Natasha thought. “Seriously, Mr. Rundell, quit messing around!” Natasha protested, her tone a mix of embarrassment and disbelief.
Even if she actually divorced Percy, there was no way she’d ever get together with Jared, no matter what he said. Jared’s gaze turned intense in an instant. “And what makes you so sure I’m just joking? What if I really mean it?” Natasha shot back without missing a beat, “Don’t you already have a fiancée? I’m not about to be the other woman.”
Jared’s eyes narrowed. “Fiancée? Who are you talking about?”
“Lizzie Hopkins!” Natasha blurted out.
Jared frowned instantly. “She’s not my fiancée!”
Natasha looked at him, not buying it at all.
‘Lizzie’s not his fiancée? Seriously? How is that even possible?’ she thought, completely thrown.
“But, at the last company party, she was with you as your date…” Natasha said, her voice trailing off in disbelief.
A sharp glint flashed in Jared’s eyes. “My Uncle was the one who set her up as my date for that party. It wasn’t my choice at all!”
The whole thing about introducing Lizzie to him was Harley’s idea, too.
Jared’s mom got totally talked into it by Harley. She forgot all the crap he pulled on her before.
Lizzie was on Harley’s team, so Jared would never make her his fiancée.
“Oh,” Natasha nodded, still a bit out of it.
Natasha thought, ‘Wow, who would’ve guessed? Lizzie, the queen of high society, totally has her eye on him, but he’s just not feeling it at all.
‘But why is he even taking the time to explain all this to me?
‘Wait, is he actually into me?
‘But he knows I’m already married…’
Jared leaned in close, his hand giving Natasha’s delicate waist a gentle, teasing pinch.
“So, are you ready to say yes now?” he murmured, his voice deep and seductive.
Natasha’s heart skipped a beat.
She acted clueless, pretending she had no idea what Jared meant.
“Agree to what?” she asked, feigning innocence.
Jared’s gaze was deep and intense as he stared at her. “Why don’t you just be with me?”
And before Natasha could even process her shock or say no, he’d already locked her tightly in his arms, holding her captive against his chest.
Natasha’s slender, graceful body fit perfectly in Jared’s arms, and he could feel every elegant curve pressed against him, her figure was soft, delicate, and impossibly tempting.
Holding her close to his chest, Jared felt a sudden rush inside, as if his heart was overflowing, filled to the brim with something he’d never felt before.
Natasha was pressed against his chest, her cheeks flushing hot in an instant.
Even her tiny ears, peeking out, were tinged with a lovely pink.
She looked so tempting that Jared felt a rush of heat low in his belly.
Jared couldn’t help himself. He leaned in and caught Natasha’s earlobe in his mouth.
A surge of electricity rushed through Natasha, making her whole body tingle.
She could feel Jared’s lips pressed against her earlobe, sending shivers down her spine.

Her body stiffened, like she’d been hit by a bolt of lightning.
Natasha froze, not daring to move at all.
Her mind went completely blank.
it wasn’t until Jared started pushing his luck, his hand sliding beneath her dress, that Natasha suddenly jolted back to her
senses.
“No, stop…” Natasha stammered, her voice shaking with panic.
