Hendrick immediately understood what she meant. He said resignedly, “It’s only a temporary partnership.”

Cecelia looked completely uninterested. She called out to Amber, “Turn here. Let’s go the other way.”

Amber answered and obediently changed direction.

Cecelia ignored Hendrick and quickly left with Amber.

Hendrick watched the direction she left in and could not help frowning slightly.

In one quick motion, she pulled a metal bar from the window and launched it toward a zombie not far away, one that had already had half its head chewed off by rats.

The metal bar shot forward like a blade.

It pierced straight into the zombie’s neck.

The zombie immediately stiffened. Its neck twisted with a few cracking sounds, then with a heavy thud, its head dropped to the ground.

Immediately after, the zombie’s body collapsed to the floor as well.

Completely dead.

“Cecelia, it works perfectly!”

Amber looked at Cecelia happily and could not help straightening her posture. “Now I can protect Ivy and Jerome, too.”

“Not bad. You still needs more practice.”

Cecelia was fairly satisfied with Amber’s ability. She reminded her, “Personally, I suggest you practice using small metal projectiles. With metal control, the larger the object you manipulate, the more energy it consumes. You should only try controlling something as big as a car once you reach around level 4 or level 5.”

As she spoke, she launched the three metal arrows at another normal zombie.

One of them struck the zombie directly in the head. It was an instant kill.

The zombie collapsed to the ground and stopped moving completely.

Three arrows were fired, but only one hit.

Cecelia could not help laughing as she said to Amber, “You should work on your aim.”
