Chapter 151 Ambush
“You guys stay in the car and don’t move. I’ll go down and deal with it.”
Cecelia wanted to test the results of her training.
When she fought the mutated zombie before, she didn’t even go back to her space.
Finding someone at her level was the perfect way to see how far she could push herself.

But before getting out, she stuffed a handful of mutated rat crystals into Amber’s hand and to her, “I showed you how to drive. When I get out, move to the driver’s seat, and back the car up
Amber immediately got nervous. “But Cecelia, I want to go help you.”
“No need. Stay in the car and protect them.”
“O–okay.”
Amber pressed her lips together and tightly held the rat crystals.
Since Cecelia gave her crystals to refill energy anytime, it meant this fight might be a little troublesome.
Amber didn’t waste any time.
As soon as Cecelia got out of the car, she quickly climbed into the driver’s seat and started backing the car up.
Ivy watched Cecelia step out, her eyes full of worry. She pressed her lips together, wishing Timothy and the guys were there.
Cece was strong.
But those people didn’t look easy to deal with.
Having a team would make winning a lot easier.
But…
She looked behind them, yet she didn’t see Timothy’s and the others‘ cars.
So, where were they?
Hendrick and the others were supposed to be right behind Cecelia, but they had run into an ambush too.

In the apocalypse, anyone driving a truck like that would attract attention. Anyone who saw it would assume it was full of supplies.
Hendrick had been driving and was just about to catch up to Cecelia’s car when he suddenly heard an explosion behind them.
He looked back and saw that a giant rock was now blocking their path.
A gap opened up, separating them from the other car.
“Shit!”
Ryan cursed as he slammed on the brakes. That rock almost smashed right through the windshield!
Luckily, Matthew reacted fast, grabbing the steering wheel and pulling a hard turn to dodge th flying stone.
The truck lost its balance.
Bang!
There was a massive bang, a loud rumble, and the screeching sound of metal dragging against the concrete.
The heavy truck tipped right over onto its side.
Ryan and Matthew were both hit by the impact. Their heads rang, unable to move for a second
Hendrick quickly stopped the car.
Timothy’s face changed as he looked at Regina. “What’s going on?”
Regina’s eyes were bloodshot, her voice shaking. “It’s an ambush… Humans. And there’s a psychic ability user. I can feel them…”
She was only level 2.
But the psychic power the other person released was stronger. It felt like it was closing in, trying to crush her.
Regina had to pull her powers back so fast that her eyes turned completely red, looking like they were filled with blood.

Timothy’s expression turned cold. He glanced at Hendrick. “Should we get out and check?”
“Don’t act rashly.”
Hendrick stopped him. He squinted, scanning the area for anywhere someone could be hidi “They’re waiting for us to step out!”
“It hurts…”
Regina held her head and had already collapsed across the back seat, her face pale.
Timothy panicked. He said to Hendrick, “Forget the ambush! We have to find whoever’s hidi nearby and kill the psychic ability user as soon as possible. Otherwise…”
He looked at Regina, his voice heavy. “Otherwise, Regina might die.”
“Yeah.”
Hendrick’s eyes turned icy. He pushed the door open and got out of the car.
The moment he opened the door…
Whoosh!
An arrow shot through the air.
It was extremely fast.
Hendrick quickly stepped to the side and dodged.
But the next second…
cond arrow. A third…
Arrows kept shooting out from all directions!
Bang!
Bang! Bang!
The arrows slammed straight into the hood of the car.
Luckily, it was a military SUV, so the glass didn’t shatter.
Timothy got out right behind Hendrick and raised an ice wall to block one side of them.
The one–inch–thick ice wall managed to stop quite a few arrows.

Meanwhile, over by the flipped truck, Ryan finally cleared his head. After crawling out through the window, he angrily threw a huge fireball in one direction.
The massive fireball dropped from the sky.
The person hiding in the brush didn’t even have time to dodge before getting hit. They started screaming in pain!
A few seconds later, two or three men rolled down the hillside.
Their bodies were on fire.
Hendrick moved extremely fast. He caught several men on the other side and directly slashed their Achilles tendons with a blade, making sure they couldn’t walk anymore.
Seven or eight men lay on the ground, screaming in pain.
When the rest of the ambushers saw this, they lost their nerve and bolted into the woods.
“D–don’t kill me!”
please! We only stopped you because we had no choice… Don’t kill us!”
urts! Help!”
The men kept begging for their lives.
Hendrick wasn’t falling for the act. He grabbed one guy by the hair and demanded, “Who are you?”
“W–we’re from Flintwood Town. Our town head is David Flintwood!” the man stammered, shaking with fear.
He hadn’t expected to pick a fight with people this dangerous.
