From the blood all over her and the lingering aura of violence, it was clear a fierce fight had just happened.
They could only ask Hendrick about the details later.
The sky slowly grew darker.
For them, that was actually bad.
Cecelia suggested they find a place to hide first.
The enemy was hidden while they were exposed. Even though they had just estimated the enemy group’s strength, they still couldn’t let their guard down.
Besides, the other side had a level 3 psychic ability user.
That was the biggest threat.
Hendrick asked her, “A level 3 psychic ability can attack everyone?”
“Yes.”
Cecelia glanced at Regina and said, “The reason they only attacked Regina is most likely because they want to kill her first, then deal with the rest of you. Psychic ability users can sense each other. So when we move later, it’s best to bring Regina with us.”
“Okay.”
Hendrick nodded, then looked at Timothy. “You and Ryan take the others and move ahead. I’ll carry Regina and go with Cecelia to find that psychic ability user. As for the supplies…”
He glanced at the truck and added, “Just take some food. Leave the rest if we can’t carry it.”
The big truck had flipped over.
Even if he used all his powers, he couldn’t turn it back upright. It was too much trouble, so they had no choice but to abandon it.
Timothy understood what he meant. “Don’t worry. I’ll handle it.”
Cecelia glanced at the supplies in the truck.
It was a bit of a waste to leave them.
When they came back later, maybe she could have Tiger carry some.
Actually, the supplies she had stored were already enough for her team.
But supplies get used up little by little.
And the apocalypse wouldn’t end anytime soon, so the more they stored, the better!

Chapter 155 Channing Town
“Hendrick, want me to come with you?” Ryan asked, running over.
Hendrick glanced at him. “No. You stay here with Timothy and guard the others.”
With Cecelia’s help, he lifted Regina onto his back.

Cecelia didn’t call Amber to come along. She just told her to stay with Ivy and Jerome and protect them.
Regina was in pain, but she was still conscious.
She knew Hendrick and Cecelia were taking her to find the psychic ability user. She focused hard and endured the pain as she told them the direction she sensed. “Over the hill… There’s a town… Very close… One mile…”
Cecelia nodded and said, “Got it. Just rest for now and hang in there. Only speak when we ask you. Focus on blocking his attacks. Don’t let him hurt you too badly. You decide how much you can handle, but don’t lose consciousness.”
“Okay…” Regina groaned.
She knew Cecelia was telling her to keep fighting back. If she passed out, game over, she’d be dead!
She didn’t want to die. And she couldn’t die!
Cecelia walked in front, clearing the way. When they reached the hillside, she saw a lot of blood on the ground, leading down the slope.
Following the trail, they soon saw a body lying on the ground, burned black like charcoal.
Definitely Ryan’s handiwork.
Suddenly, the grass up ahead rustled.
Cecelia’s eyes sharpened. She pulled out her dagger and charged.
“D–Don’t kill me!”
She dragged out a young guy covered in dirt. He looked terrified and started begging for his life immediately.
Afraid she would kill him, he quickly explained, “I–I’m not from Flintwood Town! I’m from the next town over. I saw your cars stop… I followed you to try and warn you about Flintwood Town!”
Cecelia kicked him.
A wood–chopping knife fell from his waist.
Aside from that, he was just wearing a plain white tank top. His muscles were huge, though–he was clearly a physical ability user.
That surprised her.
Why were there so many physical ability users in this area?

Cecelia narrowed her eyes and asked, “What’s your name?”
“F–Finnick Channing!”

After giving his name, he quickly continued. “My dad is the town head of Channing Town, Steven Channing. Our town has always had a bad relationship with Flintwood Town. After the apocalypse started, we stopped interacting completely. But about half a month ago, people from Flintwood Town started sneaking into our town to steal vegetables and chickens, ducks, and geese. We fought them off with everything we had, but after that, they started robbing survivors passing by.
“They kidnap the women and kill all the men. Some men managed to escape and ran to our town for help. But our town only has about a hundred people, and most of them are elderly, weak, or injured. If we fight them directly, we’ll be the ones who suffer. Our whole town could get wiped out by Flintwood Town.”
Finnick gave a bitter smile. “So my dad came up with an idea. He told us to watch the road for passing survivors and try to stop them to
Cecelia looked at him calm Warn them about Flintwood Town. If we can help, we help.”
fighters they have?”
“How much do you know about Flintwood Town? Do you know how many
“Yes! Most of them are young men. Their town head is David Flintwood, but he’s not really the one in charge. The real leader is a guy named Harvey Flintwood, David’s younger brother. He’s terrifying. He just stands there and looks at you, and you’ll start foaming at the mouth and pass out! One of my friends died like that. We have no idea what kind of crazy ability he has…”
