Apocalypse God Mode: Unlocked (Cecilia) novel Chapter 284

Chapter 284 The Animals That Grew Smarter

The old hen was the most surprising of all.

When Cecelia first brought it in, it was quite old.

It was the kind of chicken that would lay a few more eggs and then end up in a soup pot.

But somehow, it kept getting healthier.

Finished

Its feathers became smooth and shiny. Its body grew bigger. Even the eggs it laid were large and perfectly round.

Cecelia had checked them before-none of them were fertilized.

The roosters that grew up earlier were its chicks. The newer chicks were its grandchicks.

Every day, the old hen strutted around the blank space with its flock, head held high. Other than Tiger, it didn’t seem afraid of anything.

When Cecelia called out to it, it came running fast, its claws moving like little spinning wheels.

“Cluck, cluck…” it called back to

Its eyes were clear and sharp, almost intelligent. It stared right at her.

Cecelia tossed it a handful of grain. “Did you grow a brain in here or something?”

“Cluck?”

The hen paused and tilted its head.

Cecelia raised a brow. “You actually understand me?”

“Cluck!”

It called again, like it was answering her.

Cecelia laughed and picked up the heavy hen. “Wow. Looks like this place can raise a bunch of smart animals.”

“Cluck, cluck…”

The hen lowered its head and didn’t struggle at all, letting her hold it

“Woof! Woof!”

Two young wolfdogs nudged agamst her legs, a little bigger than before Cecelia felt pretty good.

After setting the hen down, she went to check on the ducks and geese.

Not every animal had become smart.

After a careful check, she realized only a few had changed-Tiger, the old hen, and the two wolfdogs.

The sheep, cows, pigs, ducks, and geese were all normal.

So, animals becoming smart in this space wasn’t guaranteed.

Which was honestly a good thing.

If everything got smart, she wouldn’t have anything left to eat.

By the time she finished organizing the farming and breeding areas, quite a bit of time had passed.

Just as Cecelia was about to leave the space, she heard a buzzing sound near her ear.

“Meow!” Tiger’s voice followed.

Cecelia turned and froze.

In midair, a giant, round, golden, fluffy bee was flying.

Tiger sat on the ground, staring up at it.

The bee was about the same size as Tiger.

It flapped its wings with effort. When it noticed Cecelia looking at it, it panicked and tried to fly higher.

Good grief!

Cecelia just stood there, stunned. Before she could even react, Tiger sprang into the air.

His claws hooked straight into the giant bee’s wings and slammed it hard to the ground.

Bang!

The two animals, about the same size, tumbled across the grass.

The old hen clucked loudly and rushed off with a whole flock of chicks.

The little bee-no, the giant bee-panicked. It struggled wildly, trying to escape Tiger’s claws. But instead Tiger bit down on the back of its neck.

Its clear wings tore, leaving two holes.

All it could do was kick at Tiger with its uny legs.

And the worst part? Its stinger was ridiculously small.

Cecelia hurried over and grabbed Tiger just before he pushed i od Dyer, wait

What kind of bee grows as big as a kitten?

The giant bee stared straight at Cecelia, its eyes full of fear and caution. It kept flapping its wings, trying to fly.

But broken wings were still broken. No matter how hard it tried, it couldn’t lift off. It could only stand there on its dark little legs.
