Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1628

Chapter 1628: Field Law

The clangorous march of hundreds echoed in Atticus’ ears. He watched as gods poured out from the pathway beyond the moment the veil dropped.

The Eldorians and resistance leaders instantly tensed beside him. And though Anorah, Ozeroth, Whisker and the others appeared relatively calm, he could still see the strain across their faces.

’Hmm...’

Atticus calmly swept his gaze across the army. It was difficult to discern which group stood as the main attacker. Every faction he had marked as an enemy was present.

The Redflames, the Abyss faction, and many others who had come for him during the resource wars stood assembled before him.

’There’re more.’

Their numbers were even greater on the other war front, their armies entering into the millions. Still, considering the scale of the major faction, it could be deemed small.

’Their elites.’

They were only gods present, and the heavy will churning around them and the frost in their eyes made it clear that these were the elites of their respective factions.

It would seem his earlier message had been received exactly as intended.

’There...’

Atticus’ eyes narrowed as he finally sighted what he deemed the leading force. Behind the army stood hundreds of figures clad in golden robes, faceless masks concealing their faces.

But his focus settled on the one with a pure dark faceless mask. His first encounter with someone like that had been during his first battle in the Lower Span.

’Fragment bearer.’

He could feel the familiar energy seeping from him. Atticus frowned as he sensed a pair of heavy eyes settle onto him.

He shifted his gaze toward a man wearing a pure white faceless mask. The air around him was unnaturally still and heavy, as though the world itself had slowed in acknowledgment of his presence.

’A Judicator.’

"I’ll handle them. I want you to go to the other fronts."

Atticus spoke to the others, but each responded with deep frowns.

"I’ll be fine. The other fronts require you more."

"...alright."

Though deeply reluctant, they had all learned to trust Atticus. Nodding, they vanished from the space, leaving only him standing upon the hill.

’It’s better this way.’

He hadn’t told them that the Willguards, fragment bearers and Judicator had emerged solely from this front. The other fronts consisted only of the major factions’ armies.

It was safe to say this was the true main attacking force.

’Now...’

With nothing holding him back, Atticus silenced his thoughts and fixed his gaze on the army.

"Atticus Ravenstein."

The Judicator’s eyes glowed faintly as they locked onto Atticus. He slowly removed his mask, revealing familiar circular lines etched across his aged, weary face.

"I am Nowel. A Judicator, carrier of justice within the Willguard. By law, I am required to recite your crimes. I will be brief."

His tone was concise and detached, like a man simply fulfilling procedure rather than delivering judgment.

"You have been convicted of slaying multiple carriers of justice, massacring numerous innocent gods, and harboring an evil entity deemed contraband.

"In light of the severity of these crimes, you have been sentenced to immediate execution. Your people and your world will be purged alongside you. Due to prior incidents, excessive force has been authorized. Proceed."

The Willguard closest to him produced a circular orb and hurled it into the vast wasteland before them, where it detonated the instant it touched the ground.

Multiple vines erupted from the earth, twisting and merging together until a radiant, imposing tree rose into existence.

The eyes of the army glowed through their armor as an invisible wave swept across them and surged toward Atticus.

"Stop."

"What?"

The Judicator’s eyes narrowed. The will negation wave that should have washed over Atticus and the rest of the territory abruptly halted before him, as though seized by an unseen hand.

’I can barely feel anything...’

A wave of exhilaration passed through Atticus. The Willguard’s will negation had once been a deadly obstacle, until now. He had stopped the wave simply by commanding the element, yet he felt almost no strain.

’It really improved.’

The gods and wills he had absorbed during the resource wars had pushed his will beyond Physical Law and into Field Law.

Now, Atticus’ control over molecules had expanded dramatically, and more than that, he could sustain multiple molecular commands simultaneously.

Still, Atticus couldn’t attribute it solely to his advancement. The fact that he stood within his own world made an immense difference.

His will was nearly infinite here, and his mind and body would continuously recover from the surging energy.

"Erase."

An invisible orb engulfed the tree the next moment, and it vanished without a trace.

"You... what did you do?"

The Judicator’s weary eyes widened.

"Come."

At Atticus’ command, the exo-suit burst forth from his chest and enveloped his entire body, a red shroud igniting across his face.
