Seeing her drain it, Zachary clapped his hands and cheered loudly, “Scarlett’s not just beautiful and sweet–she can hold her liquor too. If Damian ever steps out of line, you just let me and Felix know. We’ve got your back.”

Scarlett knew Zachary was trying to smooth things over for her. Grateful, she gave him a warm smile and said softly, “Okay, I’ll remember that.”

Zachary had spoken up on purpose. Naturally, Vincent and Sabrina heard him, and their attention shifted over.

Sabrina noticed Damian looking toward Vincent, his eyes sharp with hostility and anger.

Seeing Damian like that, Sabrina pressed her lips together tightly.

He must be jealous of Vincent. That’s why he’s staring him down like that.

Noticing their exchanged looks, Zachary pulled out a business card and handed it to Scarlett, announcing clearly, “Scarlett, here’s my card. Keep it safe. If anyone gives you trouble later, just call me. You won’t even need Damian–I’ll take care of everything.”

Scarlett accepted the card with another gentle smile. “Thank you.”

Across the table, Vincent narrowed his eyes at Scarlett. Seeing she didn’t refuse or offer any explanation, he frowned.

Sabrina shot a dark look at Zachary, thinking how clueless he was.

How could Damian be in love with Scarlett? His sights were clearly set on her.

Everyone at the table was lost in their own thoughts.

Only Harris and Felix seemed like they were just along for the ride.

Watching Zachary play the protector, Daniel couldn’t help but let out a scoff.

He didn’t hold back, asking bluntly, “Zachary, are you blind? You’d stick up for just anybody?”

Zachary stayed perfectly calm. Instead of getting angry, he threw a meaningful glance toward Sabrina before looking back at Daniel. “I think the blind one might be someone else. In fact, I was about to ask you the same thing.”

Daniel had had enough. He slammed a hand on the table and stood up, barking, “Zachary!”

Zachary didn’t even rise from his chair. He just gave Daniel a cool, indifferent look. “What are you gonna do about it?”

The tension spiked, thick enough to cut with a knife.

Damian instinctively moved closer to Scarlett, shielding her slightly, while shooting a frosty glare toward Vincent.

Sensing Daniel was about to explode, Vincent stopped him. “Daniel, not here.”

Only then did Daniel sink back into his seat, seething with frustration.

This was the second time Zachary had shut him down that night. And they were at Warren Villa -hardly the place to make a scene.

Zachary knew Daniel was boiling over, but he couldn’t resist adding fuel to the fire. “Yeah, that’s what I thought.”

This was Warren Villa, and Zachary was betting Daniel wouldn’t dare start a real fight.

As long as Daniel was miserable, Zachary was happy.

Beside him, Felix nudged Zachary’s arm under the table and muttered, “Don’t start something you can’t finish. You’re playing right into their drama.”

Watching Zachary fuss over Scarlett, Sabrina had to resist the urge to kick the table leg in frustration.

Could Zachary be any more clueless? He doesn’t even realize who Damian actually wants, and he’s over there playing knight in shining armor.

Vincent noticed Sabrina’s stiff posture and leaned toward her. “Everything okay?”

Sabrina shook her head quickly. “Oh, it’s nothing.”

The banquet was winding down. After making his rounds, Ethan returned to their table.

He stopped behind Vincent, placed a hand lightly on Sabrina’s shoulder, and said in a low voice, “There’s something Mr. Stewart asked me to pass along to you.”

Ethan explained, “It’s from Vincent’s grandfather. For you.”

Sabrina froze for a second. Does Xavier already know about me?

Was this his way of showing approval–of blessing her and Vincent?

Seeing her hesitate, Ethan added gently, “Take good care of Vincent. He’s one of the good ones.”

Hearing that, Sabrina felt sure Xavier must know and support their relationship.

She beamed up at Ethan. “Don’t worry, Mr. Warren. I absolutely will.”

Ethan gave a satisfied nod before addressing the whole table. “We’ll be starting the dancing soon. Stay and enjoy yourselves before you head out.”
