Awakened Housewife Ignore Betrayer's Begs (Scarlett) novel Chapter 682

Letting Go?

Scarlett actually said those two words.

When Vincent heard them, he froze for a moment. He'd never expected Scarlett to tell him, "Let me go."

Scarlett looked down and brushed his hand off her wheelchair. Then, wheeling herself forward, she called out, "Claire."

Hearing her name, Claire turned. Seeing Scarlett ready to leave, she hurried over and took over pushing the chair.

But after a few feet, Scarlett suddenly remembered something. "Claire, wait," she said.

Claire stopped the wheelchair.

Scarlett glanced back at Vincent behind them. "Vincent," she said.

Hearing his name, his eyes brightened. "Did you change your mind?" he asked quickly.

Scarlett looked at him, her gaze still icy. "Is there anything you've done that you regret?"

In her mind, what happened at Damian's grandmother's gravesite might have involved him.

But Vincent didn't understand what she meant. He just stared back, confused, and stayed silent.

Seeing that, Scarlett didn't press further. "Then I'll see you in court," she said flatly.

With that, Claire pushed the wheelchair away.

Vincent didn't follow. He just stood there, watching them go.

They hadn't gone far when they ran into Sabrina. She was wearing an evening gown under her puffer jacket, standing in the middle of the path as if blocking their way intentionally.

The snow was falling hard, and her lips were tinged purple from the cold. Sabrina stood in the middle of the road, as if deliberately blocking her way.

Claire stopped the wheelchair and gave Sabrina an unfriendly look. "You know what they say—decent people don't block the path, Ms. Monroe."

Sabrina didn't even glance at Claire. Her soft gaze rested entirely on Scarlett.

She didn't speak, just kept staring.

After a long moment, Scarlett let out a low laugh. "What do you want to say, Ms. Monroe?"

Sabrina remained silent.

Scarlett's voice dropped. "I hope things work out for you, Ms. Monroe. I hope you and Mr. Stewart make it official soon. That way, I can finally be free of all this. And if you actually manage it, I'll make sure to thank you properly."

As Scarlett spoke, Sabrina's expression grew darker and darker.

Still, Sabrina didn't say a word.

Claire didn't want to waste another second on her. She steered the wheelchair around Sabrina and continued on.

From a distance, Vincent saw them meet Sabrina, but he was too far to catch their words.
