When Vincent heard her say that, Scarlett didn't try to explain herself any further. She simply looked at him and answered honestly, "Yeah. We slept together."

The moment the words left her mouth, Vincent suddenly reached out and grabbed her by the throat.

He shoved Scarlett hard against the wall behind her, his fingers tightening around her neck as he growled, "Scarlett, how the hell could you do this to me?"

The pressure around her throat made it hard to breathe. Her face quickly flushed red, but even then she still forced herself to look at him and rasped, "Vincent, I learned it from you."

Her answer only made his expression darker. The hand around her neck tightened even more.

Scarlett struggled for air as she hit his arm over and over, trying to force him to let go, but Vincent didn't react at all. In panic, she scratched him, shoved him, and finally kicked at him hard enough to land between his legs.

The sharp pain made Vincent instinctively throw her away from him.

Scarlett slammed hard into the wall before falling onto the floor.

Just as she hit the ground, Damian rushed in after hearing the noise outside.

The second he saw Vincent laying hands on Scarlett, Damian vaulted over the table and punched Vincent straight across the face.

The anger inside him wouldn't settle. Before Vincent could even recover, Damian swung at him again and again, each punch landing harder than the last.

It wasn't until Vincent finally regained enough strength to fight back that Damian shouted furiously, "You actually put your hands on her? What kind of man does that?"

Bruises were already spreading across Vincent's face, and blood had started running from the corner of his mouth.

Hearing Damian lose his temper like that, Vincent unexpectedly laughed instead of getting angry. He wiped the blood from his lip with the back of his hand and sneered, "You're really picking a fight with me over damaged goods?"

Damian didn't answer him. He simply threw another punch.

This time Vincent dodged it easily.

Damian stared at him coldly and said without hesitation, "So what if I am? You think I'm scared of you?"

Vincent gave a dismissive laugh. "Pathetic."

Damian looked at him without backing down. "Vincent, you're not going to stay untouchable forever."

After saying that, he turned around and carefully picked Scarlett up from the floor.

Curled against his chest, Scarlett apologized quietly. "I'm sorry."

Damian immediately laughed softly. "Why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything wrong."
