Sabrina tilted her head back comfortably and let out a quiet hum of satisfaction.

"Vincent, that feels so good."

A faint smile appeared on Vincent's face. He lowered his head and brushed a soft kiss against her hair before speaking gently.

"If you like it that much, I'll do this for you every night."

Sabrina immediately reached up and wrapped her fingers around his hand.

"How could I let you do that?" she said sweetly. "You're already exhausted from work every day. If anything, I should be the one taking care of you."

Vincent slowly rubbed his thumb across the back of her hand.

"Taking care of you isn't exhausting," he replied softly. "Besides, you've been looking after Vanessa every day. That's harder."

Sabrina smiled warmly. "Vanessa's a really good kid. She's sweet, she listens, and I honestly adore her."

Standing outside the room, Scarlett almost found herself believing Sabrina would actually make a decent stepmother.

But that wasn't her problem anymore.

She had no interest in standing there watching the two of them play house, so she raised her hand and knocked on the door.

Hearing the sound, Vincent glanced toward the entrance.

The moment he saw Scarlett, his expression turned cold again before he calmly looked away.

Then he helped Sabrina sit properly against the bed before settling down beside her.

He lightly pinched her chin.

"Sit still," he said softly. "You're gonna fall."

Sabrina wrinkled her nose playfully and smiled.

"With you here? No chance."

Vincent laughed quietly. "You always think you know everything."

Sabrina leaned her head affectionately against his arm.

"That's because you spoil me."

Scarlett stood near the doorway like she was invisible. Eventually, she lost patience and walked straight into the room.

Stopping beside the bed, she looked directly at Vincent.

"I need to talk to you."

Vincent didn't even bother looking up.

"Whatever you need to say, say it here," he replied coldly. "Sabrina's not a stranger."

Scarlett immediately understood he had no intention of speaking privately.

So she stopped dancing around the subject.

"I know this was your doing."

Vincent was still holding Sabrina's hand when he finally looked up at Scarlett with faint amusement in his eyes.

"My doing?" he repeated. "What exactly did I do?"

Scarlett's anger instantly surfaced.

"Stop pretending," she snapped. "You know exactly what I'm talking about."

Vincent gave a lazy shrug.

"Sorry," he said casually. "I honestly have no idea."

Scarlett no longer had the patience for his games.
