Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 118

Chapter 118 It’s a Dragon

Why are they fleeing so desperately?” Liam asked, his brow furrowing as he set the pika atop his head. “Hold on tight. If you fall now, I won’t be able to catch you.”

Yates was trembling too violently to speak. He clung to the antlers with every ounce of strength he had his tiny claws digging deep into them.

He had even spotted lions and leopards mixed into the stampede.

Planet A13 had diverse terrain, so regions where lions, leopards, and tigers coexisted were not uncommon.

But lions and leopards were apex predators. Liam could barely fathom what creature would force such powerful beasts to run for their lives.

A roar echoed from the very rear of the herd.

“Is that a tiger?”

The group still dared not stop.

They couldn’t. The frantic horde before them would not pause to hunt.

But whatever was chasing them might give up. They had to get to safe ground or wait until their hunter backed off before they could relax.

“Yeah.” Liam nodded grimly, his expression tight. “But there’s something else behind them too.”

“Something else?” Layla was confused, then recalled the deafening roar they’d heard earlier. “What is it?”

Liam shook his head. “It’s hard to tell, but that tiger’s roar is growing closer.”

That meant the tiger was not the hunter. It was being chased just like the rest.

What creature is strong enough to make even a tiger flee in terror?

Some giant bird?

Layla shook her head, discarding the thought at once.

Tigers are swift hunters. What bird could outrun one?

“It’s a dragon,” Yates stammered, jostled by Liam’s movement as he clung to the antlers, his voice shaking.

“A dragon?” Layla’s eyes widened. “Dragons exist here?”

This world has actual dragons?

Upon hearing Yates’ words, Liam’s expression turned even graver. “They’re real. I’ve heard tales that their wings can shroud the sky, though I’ve never laid eyes on one myself.”

Wings? Some kind of pterosaur?

Chapter 118 It’s a Dragon

As they spoke, they glanced back and barely made out the distant silhouette of the creature.

It somewhat resembled pterosaur fossils from Earth museums, yet infinitely larger.

From what Layla knew, pterosaurs were not true dinosaurs, though closely related. The largest prehistoric specimens had roughly fifty-foot wingspans and weighed over five hundred pounds.

This creature dwarfed every fossil she had ever seen.

The tale of wings shrouding the sky was exaggerated, but its wingspan easily exceeded sixty feet. A single wingbeat carried it enormous distances.

It was closing in on the stampeding herd at terrifying speed.

[Oh my god! It’s a pterosaur! Quetzalcoatlus! I read about those! Planet A13 actually has Quetzalcoatlus!]

[Holy crap, dragons are real! I thought they were just myths!]

[People can’t invent creatures that don’t exist. Plus, we found their fossils ages ago.]

[Planet A13 has pterosaurs? This is way too dangerous! Shouldn’t the show get shut down immediately?]

[It has to be! They can’t risk everyone’s lives like this!]

[Damn… I really hoped Layla would survive the full year and win Planet A13.]

[Me too. Looks like that’s off the table now.]

[Says who? She’s so arrogant. If production pulls everyone else out, let her stay alone. Maybe she survives. Or better yet, maybe she doesn’t. A girl who steals other females’ mates deserves this.]

[Do you Stellights have any decency at all? She’s a real person! You’re wishing her dead over petty fandom drama?]

[She had it coming!]

[It’s disgusting sharing the same internet as some of you. A bunch of vile people.]

Layla glanced back several times, her eyes wide with shock, a cold spark of fear settling in at the sight of the colossal beast.

This beast world has dinosaurs? Apex Jurassic-era predators?

How are we supposed to survive against something like that?

She couldn’t help but doubt whether she could last an entire year on Planet A13 with such a creature roaming freely.

Still, she forced herself to calm down.

It’s fine. Nothing to panic over.
