Chapter 127 There’s a Tiger
Getting a trending topic up was easy. Taking one down cost Fiona an insane amount of money.
Did anyone even care? Nope. Not a single soul. Everyone just wanted her to crash and burn.
“Ms. Myers, the higher-ups are on the line again,” Michael stammered, shuffling over while holding out a phone.
Fiona saw stars. “Hand it over. Hurry up and look for them! They went with George. Check out his underwater cave first-he streamed there before.”
After quickly nodding frantically and repeating “Yes, sir” into the phone, she hung up, relieved. She glanced up to see Michael still standing there. “I told you to assemble a search team! Why are you still here?”
Michael wore a pained look. “It’s not that we aren’t trying. The Vanguards got wiped out of the sky by that Quetzalcoatlus. We don’t have any spare units left.”
The beast was circling the ocean surface, acting totally unhinged.
Its eyesight was razor sharp. Any Vanguard that got close to the water got spotted and smashed to pieces before it could even reach the area.
“Has command given us any way to deal with the Quetzalcoatlus yet?” Michael asked cautiously.
Fiona’s expression darkened. “A solution? Not a chance! All they do is pile pressure on me!”
No actual fixes, just orders to locate ‘the missing contestants. She wanted to find them! But where was she even supposed to search? That giant flying lizard was blocking every single path.
Layla and Liam had fought it together, and even Shane’s venom hadn’t been enough to take it down. If anything, the venom only made it more feral.
“I thought Prof. Slater’s venom could take down a twenty-ton beast,” Fiona said. “Why didn’t it work?”
Michael looked equally miserable. “That’s a Quetzalcoatlus, a legendary beast. Forget venom-did you see the gashes Layla and General Hartwell sliced into it? It was bleeding nonstop, and it still wouldn’t back
down.”
“What is even making it act like this?”
Before Fiona could finish her thought, loud footsteps and buzzing commotion erupted at the entrance.
“Tiger!”
“There’s a tiger inside the base!”
They’d only just survived a beast horde incident, so the single word “tiger” was enough to make Fiona nearly fall out of her chair.
A deafening roar from outside the door sealed her panic. Fiona’s legs went weak.
Panicked out of his mind, Michael plopped straight down onto her lap.

Chapter 127 There’s a Tiger
When Blaze, Seren, and Avery walked in, they found Fiona holding a terrified Michael in a position that looked… really suspicious.
Seeing the three of them, Fiona’s temper instantly flared. She pointed at the panicked staff members running around and started yelling, “Can anyone here do their job? Can you?! Are you blind? Can’t you recognize our own show’s guests? What is wrong with you people?”
Avery’s face darkened. He stepped forward, cutting off Fiona’s tirade. “Let’s focus on what matters. Michael could you get off Ms. Myers’ lap first?”
[Aaaaah! What am I looking at!]
[Ew! My eyes!]
[I need eye bleach!]
[They’re fully clothed, you freaks! Can you not?]
[Duh, they’re clothed! There are people all around. It’s not like they were about to hook up in public or something!]
Michael finally realized how awkward the whole scene was. He scrambled off Fiona’s lap like he’d been burned and jumped to the other side of the table.
“What is it?” Fiona asked, surprisingly calm. She gestured toward the chairs. “Sit down.”
“We think we figured out why the Quetzalcoatlus is targeting Layla,” Seren said, refusing to sit. He walked straight over to Fiona.
Fiona’s eyes lit up. A cause meant there might be a way to fix this.
“Well? Spit it out already! What is it?”
“We followed Blaze up the mountain. Guess what we found inside the Quetzalcoatlus’ nest?”
Fiona’s expression dropped. She shot Seren a sharp glare. “This is life-or-death stuff! Cut the dramatic suspense!”
“Right, right!” Seren said, smacking his forehead. He nodded toward Blaze.
Blaze pulled out a simple, rough-woven white dress and set it down on the table.
Fiona stared at the dress, then at Blaze, then back at the dress, then at Seren. “What is this? Why are you showing me a dress?”
“This dress,” Blaze said, “I saw live chat viewers talking about how Layla once wore this back when she was with the Grant family.”
