Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 129

Chapter 129 Of Course You’re on His Side!

George tilted his chin up at Shane, looking kind of smug.

Shane let out a quiet huff and turned to Layla, who was staring at him with a faint look of guilt. He squer zed her hand. “I don’t need it.”

George’s face tightened up in annoyance. “What did you say?”

“I said I didn’t need it. I heal way too fast,” Shane clarified. He stretched his leg out toward George. “Seet

“Shane!” George snapped.

Layla cut in, “Alright, enough already. George, just put the medicine on!”

George shot her an annoyed glare.

Of course you’re on his side!

Still, he obediently sprinkled the powder from the tiny jar onto his wound.

“Hiss…” The second the powder touched the wound, George sucked in a sharp breath. His eyes went wide as he stared at Yates. “Are you sure this stuff is even medicine?”

“Yeah,” Yates nodded earnestly.

George had only asked because the pain was unbearable-it stung even worse than the wound itself. By the time he finished applying it, sweat was beading on his forehead.

Now he finally got why Layla hadn’t given the medicine to Shane. If it wasn’t an emergency, he’d rather let his wound heal slowly than use this stuff at all!

Still… Layla gave me the medicine instead of Shane. Does that mean I matter a little to her?

With that thought, the pain didn’t feel nearly as bad anymore.

To be fair, the medicine did work. In about half an hour, George stopped bleeding completely.

“Not bad, Yates!” George said, looking at Yates with newfound respect.

Yates gave a shy, closed-mouth smile. “I’m not good for much else.”

“That’s more than enough,” Liam said, messing up Yates’ hair from behind. “George owes you one. If this entertainment gig doesn’t work out for you, just come find him anytime.”

Yates grew even more embarrassed and inched a little closer to Layla.

Shane, who’d been resting with his eyes shut, opened them instantly at the noise. His emotionless gaze flicked to Yates for a split second, then he looked away without another word.

Yates shrank back slightly, but didn’t move away.

Layla missed that quiet little exchange. She turned to Shane. “How long until your venom kicks in?”

Chapter 129 01 Course You’re on His Sidel

Shane shook his head. “If it were a human or regular beast, they’d grow weak in around two hours, then pass out. But that thing… it’s impossible to tell.”

No one had ever fought a Quetzalcoatlus before. The entire Beast World only knew them as ancient myths. And a creature that massive? Who knew how resistant it was to serpent venom?

“Based on usual venom timelines, the Quetzalcoatlus should be weakening by now,” Liam said He took a deep breath before turning to George.

Getting back to the surface still relied entirely on him, and George was clearly in no shape for another long trek.

Shane added, “For any normal beast or human, full loss of combat ability hits within one to two hours after being envenomated.”

But once again, it wasn’t normal. There was no way for them to be certain.

“We can’t just rely on ourselves. The production team should be doing something about that beast too,” Layla said thoughtfully, turning to Liam. “From what you know about them, do you think they have a plan ”

Liam twisted his lip in disdain. The entire crew only cared about ratings and money. The odds of them having any solid plan were slim.

But he wasn’t actually counting on them anyway.

Their Vanguards were still live-streaming when the Quetzalcoatlus attacked. Shane was the key figure for the Starcore Ore mission. The higher-ups had to be watching his live feed.

They would’ve gotten word the second the beast showed up, and they’d be scrambling for a rescue.

Liam could die; it wouldn’t matter. But if Shane died, it would be a catastrophic loss.

Liam glanced at Shane, a faint, detached smile tugging at his lips. “Relax. We aren’t going to die.”

Layla and George had no clue what he was thinking, but hearing his confidence eased them both a little.

Only Yates remained truly shaken, sitting in a daze, completely silent.
