Chapter 133 Nothing Stays Hidden From a Live Camera
[Maybe she was just stalling for time, keeping the crew from sending help when they needed it. I finally see her for what she is. I used to be her fan, but this is basically the same as having a criminal record.}
[Bro, turning on your old idol, huh? Better lock your DMs.]
[Oh, shush, I’m a girl. Don’t worry, if anyone comes after me, I’ll give them a piece of my mind!]
Stella hadn’t expected Talia to call her out. Her face paled for a split second before she turned to Talia with innocent, teary eyes. “Talia, do you misunderstand me? Did someone say something about me to you?”
Talia found her act ridiculous, but showed her zero mercy. “You wondering if Layla talked trash about me to turn me against you?”
That was another twist Stella never saw coming. “I didn’t-”
“I don’t care either way. And no, Layla never said a single word. She didn’t even mention your name,” Talia cut her off.
She’d been leaning against the doorframe, watching Blaze chase the Quetzalcoatlus through her Vanguard feed.
Now clutching her Vanguard device, she walked straight toward Stella. Her pace wasn’t fast, yet it carried clear, imposing pressure.
“Stella, what’s done in the dark always comes to light. And this is a live broadcast, after all. Nothing stays hidden from a live camera.”
Stella’s face drained even more color. But Talia quickly lost patience with her act and turned back to the Vanguard screen.
Stella turned to Fiona with a pitiful look. “Ms. Myers, that’s not what I meant at all.”
Fiona waved her off dismissively. “I know. Just sit down. Blaze went to help Layla. That Quetzalcoatlus is clearly running out of stamina. She’ll be back safe soon enough. You can greet her properly then.”
Stella gritted her teeth so hard she thought they might crack.
But Talia’s words hit home. This was live footage. Nothing stayed hidden, and every small misstep would get blown out of proportion.
In the entertainment industry, pretty faces were cheap and plentiful, and opportunities were limited. Plenty of people were waiting in line to take her spot. She couldn’t afford any more mistakes.
Once it sank in, she sat down beside Fiona, her hands clenched tight into fists. She stared fixedly at the screen, pretending to be deeply worried for Layla.
Yet inside the room, and even on her own live chat, barely anyone was paying attention to her anymore.
Almost every viewer had switched over to Blaze’s feed. Stella was a familiar face, but a Quetzalcoatlus was once-in-a-lifetime. A beastkin fighting one was even rarer.

Chapter 133 Nothing Stays Hidden From a Live Camera
This was a real, living Quetzalcoatlus-and it might die any moment. Nobody was going to miss that.
Blaze kept running, taunting the Quetzalcoatlus that still stubbornly chased him from above. “Layla, stay hidden! Don’t show yourself!”
Layla heard him and sank lower into the water, yet she couldn’t stop wondering.
I’ve never even seen this creature before. Why is it set on chasing me?
Blaze shouted again, “Come get me!”
“What’s that he’s holding?” Yates asked.
It was only then that Layla noticed Blaze was waving something as he ran.
“It looks like a dress. Where’d he get a dress from?” George asked.
Liam made a disgusted sound. “Ew. That’s so weird.”
A huge guy like Blaze carrying a dress looked utterly off.
But the more Layla stared at it, the more familiar it became.
“That’s strange… it looks like my dress.”
To be exact, it was the original Layla’s dress. The one she’d worn the day she came back to the Grant family, stepping off the shuttle.
A white dress with a small yellow Peter Pan collar. The original book described it as the nicest dress the original Layla owned.
Compared to Stella’s exquisite, perfectly tailored designer white gowns, it had looked like cheap rags.
The original Layla had gotten relentlessly attacked online for days because fans thought she was copying Stella’s cute style.
She never figured out how fans got her contact info, but her phone had been flooded nonstop. It only stopped after she changed her number, a trick Liam had suggested back then.
He’d also told her once that if she wanted to control her own life and make sure no one ever treated her badly again, she had to grow strong on her own.
