Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 134

Chapter 134 Meant to Lose in the End

So the original Layla made up her mind to take back everything that was rightfully hers.

Liam’s words struck her awake in an instant, and all her buried hurt turned to hatred.

The only way to get what belonged to her was to take Stella’s mates for her own.

Liam had told her before that Stella’s secure status with the Grant family rested on two things: Ciara’s favo and her powerful bonded mates.

As long as Carson and the others stayed loyal to Stella, her position would never fall.

Fueled by this hatred, she’d kept that dress hidden away once. It had been a constant reminder. She would take back everything rightfully hers and make everyone who’d humiliated her beg for forgiveness.

In the original book, the original Layla had brought that very dress onto the show with her.

Stella’s fans had mocked her relentlessly for it, calling it trash, saying she had no taste at all.

But this Layla was the one who arrived on the show. Before coming, she’d only packed two pairs of practical pants and a windbreaker. She hadn’t brought that dress at all.

It was supposed to still be back on Planet Central, in her closet at the Grant Manor, not here on Planet A13.

In an instant, it all clicked. A quiet, bitter laugh escaped her, full of self-loathing.

What kind of parents ruin their own blood daughter just to make room for an adopted one?

She felt sad for the original Layla. But then she realized sorrow was pointless.

By the time she had taken over this body, the original was already gone. Before that, the original had lost all faith in the Grants and had already set herself on a path of revenge.

All she wanted wasn’t their love anymore-it was real power for herself.

Too bad this was just a novel, and she was nothing but a side character, a foil for the main girl. She was always meant to lose in the end.

“What’s so funny?” George turned to her, annoyed.

Layla stared at him. She remembered how disgusted he’d been by the original Layla, how he’d never missed a chance to insult her. Fresh resentment rose up in her.

Even though he had saved them, saved her recently, she couldn’t shake the old bitterness.

She tried to calm down, but the anger burning in her chest wouldn’t fade, making it hard to breathe.

Her eyes stung, and before she could stop it, a single tear slid down her face and vanished into the seawater below.

“You… uh… why are you crying?” George stammered, so shocked he stepped half a step back toward Liam.

Liam was also caught off guard by her sudden breakdown. He had been close enough to hear her say the dress was hers.

Before he could speak, Shane stepped forward and pulled her into his arms. “I don’t remember you packing any dress like that.”

When she first arrived on the island, she only had the clothes on her back plus two extra outfits in her bag. That was all.

He even remembered commenting on how lightly she had packed. He himself had brought four changes clothes, and she, a girl, only had two. He was certain that dress had never been in her luggage.

“I didn’t bring it,” Layla said, her gaze turning toward George. “That dress is supposed to be in my closetat the Grant Manor.”

George wasn’t quick to catch on, but Liam figured it out right away. “You mean…”

Layla didn’t finish. There was no need. Liam didn’t either.

Still clueless, George grew impatient. “Mean what? What are you two talking about? Spit it out! Don’t leave me hanging like this!”

Neither Layla nor Liam said a word. Shane only looked at Layla with broken sympathy, staying quiet.

Even Yates, who had been peeking out from Layla’s pocket, pulled his little head back inside instantly.

“Hey! Say something! Why did everyone go quiet all at once? You all get it except me? Seriously, you’re making me look dumb here!”

He did look dumb. Liam reached over and clamped a hand over George’s mouth. “Shut up.”
