Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 145

Chapter 145 I Can Ban You From Eating

“Maybe you should cook, then?” Layla shot him a side glance.

George hunched his shoulders and went quiet.

Layla lifted her chin, looking triumphant. The movement exposed a little of her collarbone, and the red marks on it were now clear to George.

He snapped right away. He jumped to his feet, the firewood in his hand clattering to the ground, and stomped out.

Layla watched him leave, confused. “What’s his problem now?”

He didn’t answer-he just kept walking. He almost ran into Liam, who was coming in from outside.

“Where are you off to?” Liam asked.

George’s face was stormy. He didn’t reply, just pushed past Liam, bumping his shoulder.

Liam considered calling him out, but let it be. By the time he thought to act, George was already gone.

Liam went inside, poured himself a cup of water, and carried it to the kitchen.

Layla had her back to the door, putting the last of the boar meat into the pot. Hearing footsteps, she thought it was George coming back. She was about to say something, but then she heard Liam’s voice instead. “What’s up with George?”

She held her tongue. “I don’t know. He was fine, tending the fire, then he just blew up and left.”

“Oh,” Liam said. He walked in and stood next to her. “What are you making?”

“Boiled meat,” Layla said, not looking up. “Throw a couple more sticks on the fire for me.”

Liam sat on the stool George had just been using and tossed two more pieces of wood into the hearth. “That other pot-” he started, looking up.

His eyes landed on the marks on Layla’s neck. Suddenly, he got why George had stormed out.

From this angle, they were obvious. With George’s feelings and his temper, it was a miracle he hadn’t snapped sooner.

Layla seemed to sense what Liam was looking at. She pointed to her neck. “I think I’m having an allergic reaction or something.”

“An allergy?” Liam’s voice sounded skeptical.

This didn’t look like any allergy he’d ever seen. He might not have much experience, but he knew enough- these marks were clearly…

“Yeah, I don’t know. I was fine last night. Woke up like this.” As she spoke, the spot started itching again, and she reached up to scratch it.

Chapter 1451 Can Ban You From Eating

“Don’t scratch. Let me see.” Liam stood up and walked over. He took her wrist and moved her hand away Layla tilted her head back.

Liam leaned in to look, and suddenly he was staring at her long, slim neck.

The faint marks scattered on it didn’t ruin it-instead, they stirred a darker, more possessive feeling. Realizing where his thoughts were going, Liam’s grip tightened without him noticing.

“Ow,” Layla winced, her wrist hurting. “Take it easy. It’s not like I’m dying.”

Liam let go of her wrist right away. Instead, he lifted her chin with his fingers, his eyes tracing each mark’s shape. “It does look rather… severe. Are they anywhere else?”

Layla shook her head. “No, just my neck.”

A small smile tugged at Liam’s lips. He reached out and ran a finger over two tiny, almost invisible / indentations hidden among the other marks.

“You didn’t feel anything else last night? These almost look like bites.”

“No,” Layla said, shaking her head again. “Slept like a log.”

Liam’s smile got bigger.

“Are you smiling?” Layla asked, annoyed. She swatted his hand away, but from his reaction, she could tell it wasn’t serious.

“It’s fine. Later, I’ll have Yates pick some herbs to bring the swelling down. Mash ’em up and put ’em on— you’ll be good.”

Layla just snorted. “Mind the fire.”

“Sure thing,” Liam said, sitting back down. The corners of his mouth were still turned up, looking weirdly pleased.

That smug look on his face just made Layla more annoyed. She tossed the last piece of meat into the pot a little too hard. Hot water splashed out, hitting Liam.

Liam looked up at her, looking totally innocent.

Layla didn’t feel bad at all. “What are you so happy about, anyway?”

“Can’t a guy be happy? That’s harsh. Even the Beast God doesn’t ban happiness.”

“Right, the Beast God doesn’t ban it. But you’re annoying me, and I can ban you from eating.”

“Hey! I’m the one who brought that boar! And I’m tending the fire!”

“You want it back? Take it,” Layla challenged, sticking her chin out. She turned and walked away, not worried for a second that Liam would actually take the meat. And of course, he wouldn’t.

“I’m not George,” Liam said.

Layla paused. “Is that how you usually talk trash about George?”
