Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 187

Chapter 187 Pressed Close

Layla’s breath caught. Her fingers unconsciously clutched at Shane’s sleeve.

Shane didn’t rush. He didn’t push. The tip of his tongue traced over her lips again and again, patient, until

he felt her resistance soften, until her lips parted the tiniest, nearly imperceptible fraction.

Then he held back nothing. He held back no longer. He swept past her lips and deepened the kiss, tangling. A entwining, until Layla’s cheeks flushed crimson and her breathing grew labored.

Only then did he release her, pressing his forehead to hers. “Layla. I like you so much.”

Layla shoved the fur blanket off her head and gulped in deep breaths. She reached down and pinched Shane’s waist.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Shane caught her hand, brought it to his lips, and blew on it gently, then kissed it.

“Does it hurt?”

Layla pulled her hand back and flipped over, turning her back to him.

Shane didn’t get angry. He wrapped his arm around her waist from behind and pressed close, utterly content, burying his face in the nape of her neck. He took a deep breath.

His fuzzy head rubbed against the nape of her neck, his warm breath tickling her skin with every breath. Layla got goosebumps all over, and her voice even cracked a little.

“Shane!”

“Mm?”

“Move back a little.”

“I won’t.”

“I’ll get mad.”

“Don’t be mad, don’t be mad.”

Shane shifted back slightly, but still stretched his arm out to reach her.

Layla could feel the unnatural, contorted posture he’d settled into.

But she figured once she fell asleep, he’d naturally shift back.

She’d been exhausted all day. Without distractions, she drifted off quickly.

So she never knew that the moment she fell asleep, Shane eased closer. Carefully, he gathered her into his arms. When she didn’t stir, he grew bolder, slipping one arm beneath her head as a pillow.

Layla shifted. Shane went completely still.

Only when she settled back into deep sleep did he exhale in relief. He pressed a kiss to her forehead.

Even after the kiss, he still felt unsatisfied, so his lips wandered across Layla’s face, gently pecking her sm one by one.

From her forehead, to her eyebrows and eyes, to her nose, cheeks, lips, chin, and neck. finally landing with a light kiss on her collarbone.

He didn’t deliberately try to leave a mark. His touch was almost reverent, as if terrified of waking her

He kissed his way back up to her forehead, shifted her head from his arm to his shoulder, and adjusted unt not a sliver of space remained between them. Only then did he close his eyes in contentment.

A moment later, his eyes snapped open again. He cast a helpless glance downward. “Tch.”

He muttered under his breath. “Pathetic.”

Whenever he saw Layla, everything else faded away, leaving him only with the urge to hold her closé.

After scolding him, he felt a pang of sympathy for his body’s suffering. He whispered soothingly, “Just bear with it a little longer. We’re not married yet. We can’t let Layla suffer.”

Since he couldn’t let Layla suffer, he had no choice but to endure it himself.

He lay awake for a long time, fidgeting and restless. Even in her sleep, Layla grew annoyed. She rolled over, putting her back to him.

Instantly, as if by reflex, he pressed closer, arm circling her waist, pulling her back into his arms. “You’re mine. You can’t escape.”

Layla hadn’t wanted to run away anyway. She found a comfortable position and slept.

The next morning, she woke feeling sore, particularly in her thighs, which felt achy and tender.

By the time she sat up, Shane was already gone.

She looked down at her thighs.

“Did I gain weight?” She frowned.

She’d heard that when people gained weight, their thighs chafed when they walked.

She was surprised to find she’d gained weight.

While the Vanguard was still outside, she lifted the hem of her shirt just a little, peering down.

‘Her lower abdomen was fair and flat, with no excess fat.

“I haven’t gained weight.” She tugged at her shirt and pinched her abdomen.

Shane pushed the door open and caught the scene just in time.

He shot back out and grabbed Vanguard, who was about to slip inside.

[By the Beast God above, what did I just see!]

[Damn it. Layla isn’t yours alone! What’s wrong with letting us have a peek?]

[Open the door! Open it right now! Layla, I know you’re in there! If you’ve got the nerve to take your clothes. off, you can open the door!]

Shane leaned back against the door, his breathing growing faster and more ragged. It took a long time before he could calm down at all.
