Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 189

Chapter 189 Into the Abyss

“No way!” Shane refused without hesitation. “We don’t know what’s down there. It’s too dangerous for you

now.”

“I’m a sky beastkin. I can fly. I’ll just go down and scout. If there’s danger, I’ll fly straight back

Shane still hesitated. He feared that whatever lay below might be something like the Quetzalcoatlus.

“Let the Vanguard go down and look,” Shane said.

Layla’s eyes lit up. She said nothing, but her expression was clearly approving.

The Vanguard shuddered. But it was no match for the combined force of their will.

It had no desire to go. Unfortunately, Layla was too violent. She grabbed the Vanguard and hurled it off the cliff. Then she crouched at the edge, picked up two stones, and took aim at the Vanguard, which had just stabilized itself and was preparing to climb back up.

“Go down. Or I’ll smash you to pieces.”

She was smiling. But somehow, she looked more terrifying than a demon crawling up from hell.

After much deliberation and hesitation, Vanguard chose to face the unknown dangers below rather than be crushed by Layla’s stone, ultimately deciding to die later.

The Vanguard descended, trembling. Layla pulled up her own live stream on Shane’s Vanguard, watching the footage the descending Vanguard was capturing. She even dialed in a call.

“Slower. I couldn’t see that spot clearly. Is that a scrap of fabric? Is it from Liam’s clothes?”

The Vanguard drifted upward a little.

“Right there. A little to the left. That tree branch.”

The Vanguard shifted left as Layla directed.

“That’s Liam’s clothes.” Liam had been wearing that exact blue combat suit yesterday, looking every inch the dashing hero.

“Keep going down!” Layla ordered.

The Vanguard no longer dared to resist.

The discovery of Liam’s clothing snagged on a branch meant Liam had likely really fallen.

Liam was an Empire general. If an Empire general died on their show, there would be no continuing the program. They could all just commit ritual suicide to atone.

Ever since they’d lost contact with Liam, Shane’s expression had remained heavy.

Others might not know Liam’s situation. But he did.

Chapter 189 Into the Abyss

Liam would never have wandered to a place like this alone for no reason.

The search zone Shane had assigned to Liam yesterday wasn’t due east. It was southeast.

This was due east.

Lately, because of Layla, Liam loved to butt heads with him. But when it came to serious matters, he never fooled around.

No one wanted to find the Starcore Ore more than Liam.

To restore the Hartwell Legion to its former glory, Liam was willing to pay any price.

Yet the current situation clearly pointed to someone obstructing Liam and him from finding the Starcone Ore.

He was unsure if those people opposed the Hartwell Legion’s return, wanted to prevent Liam from inheriting the Hartwell family, or if Yveria had already infiltrated the true decision-makers.

Those in power, each harboring their own secret agendas, were scheming endlessly.

Liam knew full well it was a trap. But for the sake of that stubborn, desperate hope of his, he’d still plunged headfirst into it.

Shane found himself almost not wanting to find Liam.

Liam was so consumed by his obsession that even the slightest hint of news regarding Starcore Ore could cause him to lose his usual judgment.

He’d turned into a madman over the dream of restoring the Hartwell Legion.

No one could stop him. Not even himself.

Shane was turning over in his mind whether he should find a way to force Liam out of the program when the Vanguard suddenly plummeted.

“What’s happening?” Layla watched the Vanguard closely through the live feed.

It was clear the Vanguard was fighting desperately to stabilize itself. But it was useless.

Something had interfered, abruptly severing its controls.

With no one at the helm, the Vanguard plummeted at terrifying speed.

Before the Vanguard shattered, Layla caught the last images it transmitted.

The ground was littered with corpses, drenched in blood; the grass by the river and the flowing water were both stained crimson.

They were the corpses of a pack of beasts.

They weren’t beasts. They were predators.

Every kind of deadly predator.
