Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 198

Chapter 198 The Washing

After a mess that colossal, expecting the Grant family to let Liam walk free was delusional.

And so many people wanted him dead. The Grant family barely had to lift a finger. A slight nudge here, a small arrangement there, and Liam would be in mortal peril.

Like the Dreamgrass before. And now, this unknown substance soaked into his clothes.

“How can you be sure it was Stella?” Shane asked.

The Grant family doing something like this wasn’t shocking. But evidence was still necessary.

“Because she washed my clothes.” Liam laughed again.

His laughter was laced with endless bitterness.

“Last night, when I went back, Stella was washing my clothes.

“A pampered young lady who never lifted a finger, doing something like that for me. At the time, I felt I’d wronged her. Announcing on camera that I didn’t like her. I’d humiliated her. I’d been impulsive. Even if I didn’t like her, I should have found a gentler way.

“She didn’t say a word. Showed not a trace of resentment.” Liam’s voice was calm but carried an edge of near-madness. “Well, she is an actress. Even I was completely deceived. It never crossed my mind that underneath it, she was hiding vicious calculations.”

The clothes were washed by Stella. Therefore, whatever was on the clothes had been put there by Stella.

“Later, overwhelmed with guilt, I told her I’d wash them myself. That she didn’t need to do such things.”

“Do you know what the live chat was like at that moment? Countless people praise her grace and decency. Countless curse me as an ungrateful, shameless wretch.

“I took it all. She asked me to stay with her for a while. Just until she finishes the laundry. Then she’d let me go. Never bother me again.

“In the end, I couldn’t bring myself to refuse her. I just stood there, saying nothing, watching as she awkwardly washed my clothes and hung them on the rack to dry. Then, with reddened eyes, she wished me happiness and that my dreams would come true.

“At that moment, I thought the netizens were right. She really was a gracious girl. And then…

Liam’s cold laugh signaled helplessness.

“I never realized her acting skills were that strong.”

“Not until Layla asked me whether something had gotten on my clothes again. Not until I saw those beasts swarm straight for them.

“When I was running, I looked back. I couldn’t help it. I watched those beasts tear those bloodstained clothes to shreds with my own eyes.

“If you hadn’t come. If Layla hadn’t figured out that the clothes were the problem. The one torn to pieces would have been me.

“Under that mask of generosity, kindness, and grace, Stella wanted me ripped limb from limb.

Shane looked at him. He was still in deer form, but Shane could see the desolation pooling in those eyes.

“Do you hate her?” Shane asked…

“How could I not?”

“And what are you thinking now? Exposing her true face? Revenge? Or…”

“I wronged Layla.” Liam’s voice shifted.

“Before, I knew Layla through Stella.” He shifted his body, letting his belly lie exposed. “Even though met Layla before the rumors, I still let them poison me.”

He paused. “You know what? She used to like me.”

Shane’s breath caught.

He’d long known that Layla’s treatment of Liam had been different from the other four. But hearing it from Liam’s own mouth made his heart clench.

“She likes me. Now.”

Now it was Liam who couldn’t breathe.

And Shane, as if determined not to let him off easy, pressed mercilessly, grabbing one of his front hooves. “Do you admit it?”

Liam ground his teeth. “I’m not blind!”

Anyone with eyes could see that Layla was deeply, irrevocably in love with Shane.

For him, she’d do things she’d otherwise refuse.

But then, Shane would never really force her to do anything against her will.

It seemed mutual devotion.

Shane only wanted Layla to be happy, to realize her own ideas and ambitions.

These past few days, Liam hadn’t missed it. Whatever Layla wanted to accomplish, Shane would exhaust every resource to make it happen.

And the same held true in reverse.
