Chapter 219 Bonded to the Core
“I can control it. Or rather, we’ve reached a kind of understanding.”
George’s eyes widened in disbelief. “You’ve reached a consensus with a rock? Shane, did that thing fry your brain?”
“It’s not a rock.” Shane shook his head. He lifted his wrist, the silver mark catching the light. “This is Starcore Essence, an energy crystallization condensed from the planet’s core. It has its own consciousness.”
His explanation was concise.
“As an uninvited guest, I had forcibly touched its core, yet survived within such a turbulent energy field. thereby passively completing his binding to it.”
“So, you’re the mayor of Planet A13 now?” George’s unconventional thinking came through.
Shane was caught between exasperation and laughter, and broke into a weak cough. “You could put it that way.”
He paused, then looked at Layla, reassurance in his eyes. “Don’t be afraid. It means no harm.”
To prove his words, he focused his mind on the great vein.
The air around them seemed to ripple faintly. That omnipresent pressure, the background hum of energy in the cavern, perceptibly lessened.
“You…” Liam looked at Shane with complicated eyes.
He understood exactly what this meant.
Controlling the energy core of an entire planet transcended conventional weapons and technology.
“This is the source of the signal jamming,” Shane stated. “Its energy field distorts electromagnetic waves and spatial structure here. Our Vanguard malfunctioned due to more than just signal interference.”
His expression grew serious. “And it’s extremely unstable.”
“Then we need to leave fast!” George exclaimed.
“We can’t.” Shane shook his head. “If we leave, it will eventually erupt. And, we can’t leave, anyway. This energy field has sealed off the entire area. The paths we took to get here may not even exist anymore.”
At that, even George, the most eager to flee, shut his mouth.
They were trapped with a planetary core that could detonate at any moment.
“The only option is to stabilize it.” Shane looked at his own wrist. The silver mark was his only leverage. “I need to reconnect to it and guide it. But I’m too weak right now. My mental power isn’t enough to complete the process alone. I need your help.”
Liam and George reacted with disbelief.

As a come like the George’s train of thought was still as unconventional as ever
Liam & expression was far from amused. He shoved George aside and crouched down, looking at Shandwith grim intensity. Explain clearly. What do you need us to do? What are the risks?
Shane, leaning against Layla, took a moment to gather his strength before explaining. The Starcore Essences energy is at its essence, closer to a mental dimension. When I forcibly connected to it, mymmeral sea was nearly shamered by its informational flood. I need an anchor point to stabilize my mind, and then I need to borrow your mental power to sort and guide its violent energy.”
He raised his wrist, the one with the silver mark. “I am that anchor point. And the only switch. You’ll need to channel your mental energy through me.”
George edged back in, still looking thoroughly unconvinced. That stuff can actually be channeled?”
“It can’ Shane gave him a definitive confirmation. Then his tone shifted, growing heavier. “But the process is extremely dangerous. All four of our mental frequencies have to achieve perfect alignment, complete resonance. If any one person’s mind fluctuates or produces resistance, the energy will lose control At best. all four of us suffer mental trauma, and we become vegetables. At worst, it detonates the entire Starcore Esserice vein.”
Detonate the Starcore Essence!
