Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 290

Chapter 290 Starcore Ore Deposit

Layla gave George’s head a light pat. “Alright, go deal with the things you brought back first. Where’s Shane?

Shane had been in his room, completely absorbed in a book while jotting down notes.

Hearing Layla’s voice at the door-and the question that seemed directed at him—he immediately stepped

out.

“Right here.”

She moved closer, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she winked at him. “Guess what I brought back for you?”

Shane looked surprised, but before he could speak, Oliver chimed in from the side, “Why does he get something? Don’t the rest of us get gifts? We worked hard too.”

Layla turned and shot him a cool glance.

Oliver promptly closed his mouth, a hint of hurt flashing across his otherwise aloof and refined features.

Relenting, Layla reached over and patted his head too, much like one would soothe a dog.

It worked. The touch was enough to lift his spirits, and he obediently stepped aside, ending up standing next to George.

Their eyes met, and the air between them seemed to crackle with unspoken rivalry.

But Layla had no time for their silent competition now.

From within her jacket, she produced the golden Carapax Beetle and held it out to Shane.

He took it, a flicker of astonishment crossing his face. “It’s a Carapax Beetle, but… why is its shell gold?”

Without another word, he carried it to his work corner and began examining it under a magnifier.

Layla watched quietly from nearby.

Suddenly, Shane drew in a sharp breath. “The gold coloration is from metallic precipitation-pure gold. That means these beetles must have spent a long time living inside a Starcore Ore deposit.”

The moment the words left his mouth, their eyes met. Mutual surprise and excitement passed between them.

Finding the Starcore Ore mine was the very reason Shane had come to Planet A13.

They’d found no trace of it-until now.

Shane looked at Layla with intense seriousness. “We need to find out where this beetle came from.”

“Absolutely,” Layla agreed without hesitation.

Curious, Oliver moved closer.

Staring at the golden insect, he felt a faint, familiar energy pulse from it-a resonance that seemed connected to the missing energy field they’d been searching for.

“Can I come with you?” Oliver asked.

George scowled at him. “Do you have to be everywhere? No, you

can’t.”

Ignoring George, Oliver kept his eyes on Layla. “I sense an energy signature from it. It might be linked to what we lost. I want to go with you,” he explained earnestly.

Layla glanced at Shane, who gave a slight nod. “We don’t know what we’ll find out there. Having Oliver along could be useful. If it really is connected to that energy field, an extra mind could help if we run into trouble.”

They watched as the beetle, placed on a flat surface, kept stubbornly crawling in one specific direction.

Layla picked it up, turned it around, and set it down again.

But it simply pivoted and resumed its original course.

George observed this and spoke up, “These insects always return to their nest after foraging. If we follow it, it should lead us straight to their colony.”

A spark lit up Layla’s eyes.

Talk about a lucky break.

She’d been wondering how to locate the colony entrance.

After all their time on Planet A13, they’d never spotted one-it was probably well hidden, likely underground.

But they had to do this without the show’s crew noticing.

An idea formed. Layla crooked a finger, beckoning George, Carson, and Liam closer.

They huddled around as she lowered her voice. “Tonight, Liam, you take George and pretend you have business in a secluded spot.”

After dark, if nothing major was happening, usually only one Vanguard remained active for surveillance.

Seeing the two slip away suspiciously would likely draw the Vanguard away from the main group.

That would clear their path.
