Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 296

Chapter 296 A Morning of Flusters and Foolery

Flustered and fighting the urge to cover himself more fully for fear of hurting Layla, Carson could only manage a token gesture of modesty.

“I didn’t know you were… um,” Layla mumbled, her own face growing warm as she averted her eyes. “You should… maybe use the bathroom first.”

Carson fled the room as if chased.

Emerging into the common area, he nearly collided with George, who was mid-yawn, toothbrush in hand. George’s cheerful “mornin” died on his lips at the sight of Carson’s scarlet-tinted dash into the bathroom.

Puzzled, George turned his beautiful, questioning eyes toward Liam, who was already prepping ingredients by the counter.

“What’s his deal?” George asked, his voice thick with confusion.

Liam, with the keen eyesight honed by his career, had seen enough.

A knowing, faintly mocking smile touched his lips. “None of your business. Finish up and get over here. I need help.”

“Okay, okay,” George grumbled, rinsing his mouth and scurrying to assist.

Moving slowly was not an option unless he wanted to endure more of Liam’s particular brand of “encouragement.”

Alone on the bed, Layla’s mind replayed the brief, awkward scene.

Heat returned to her own face.

With a sudden, decisive shake of her head, she gave her cheeks two light slaps.

Get a grip, Layla! Since when did you turn into such a creep?

Pushing the thoughts aside, she got up, changed into fresh clothes, and stepped out of the bedroom, nearly colliding with Shane in the hallway.

Despite his usual cool expression, a lingering haze of sleep softened his features-a common state after the previous night’s exertions and just a few hours of rest.

Oliver had kindly brewed a strong pot of coffee, its rich aroma filling the main room.

George bounced over as Layla appeared. “Morning! Liam and I got all the prep work done. No heavy lifting for you today.”

Layla couldn’t help but smile, reaching out to pinch his soft cheek with affectionate familiarity. “What a good helper.”

A slightly goofy, utterly delighted grin spread across George’s flawlessly handsome face.

Giving his hair a fond ruffle, Layla moved to the kitchen to tackle breakfast.

Chapter 296 A Morning of Flusters and Foolery

Feeling a touch of laziness this morning, she kept the breakfast simple.

Yet the delicious scent promised her usual culinary magic.

Oliver watched with anticipation, picking up his fork with refined grace.

The first bite of food made his eyes light up.

Incredible. Layla’s touch is unmistakable.

Even George, mindful of his image in front of the Vanguard, ate with measured pace.

In contrast, Liam and Carson attacked their plates with a vigor bordering on ravenous.

Noticing their speed, Layla slid a glass of water toward each. “Easy there, guys. Don’t choke.”

No sooner had she spoken than Shane let out a sharp cough from beside her.

He looked convincingly-or perhaps “too” convincingly-like a man who’d taken a wrong swallow, his eyes turning to her with a pitiful expression.

Suppressing a smile, Layla quickly handed him a water glass too.

In the live chat, viewers were howling.

[Shane is soooo jealous! He barely took a bite of his toast!]

[Adorable! I just want to kiss him!]

[Try it and see if Layla doesn’t smack you first.]

[Worth it! To die by Shane’s hand… what a way to go!]

Breakfast concluded with Liam and Carson volunteering, as per the usual rotation, to gather more supplies.

As Layla waved them off and turned to delegate tasks to George and Oliver, the two were already locked in a heated debate over the last remaining portion of hash browns.

“You hogged half the plate! This last piece is mine!” George declared, his fork stabbing the food defiantly.

Oliver made a grab for the plate. “I ate way less than you! Shouldn’t you be watching your figure, Mr. Idol? Your fans will bail.”

With an indignant yelp, George threw his fork down and rolled up his sleeves.

Oliver was already darting for the door. “Take it outside! Don’t wreck Layla’s place!”

In a whirlwind of bickering, they vanished from the cabin. Left in sudden quiet, Layla exchanged a look

with Shane.

“Real fight or just acting?”

Shane considered for a moment. “Started fake, probably real now.”
