He’d voiced George’s exact thoughts.

George rolled his eyes.

Clever little brat. If I pick on him later with him saying that right in front of Layla, she’ll know it was me.

With a huff, George sidled up to Layla, nuzzling against her. “No more additions to the group, okay?” he murmured.

Since everyone was originally supposed to be Layla’s mates, they maintained a relatively peaceful relationship thanks to Shane’s mediation.

Adding Yates felt like tipping a precarious scale.
