Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 313

Chapter 313 Search

Seeing Layla’s calm expression-apparently without much resentment-Fiona quietly sighed in relief.

With a cheerful smile, Fiona explained, “The last time we chose houses, it was all about who grabbed them fastest. To keep things fair this round, the female contestants will draw lots first. Then, according to the draw order, each pair will search a designated area for a hidden item. The fastest team gets first pick of the houses.”

That sounded fair enough.

Arms crossed, Layla challenged, “And how do I know your production team hasn’t tipped off certain contestants in advance?”

The phrase “certain contestants” was pointedly clear.

Fiona’s expression tightened briefly before another smile surfaced.

Rubbing her hands together, she insisted, “The locations are completely random. None of the contestants will know beforehand.”

A clever idea suddenly sparked in Layla’s mind.

Her eyes gleamed as she looked at Fiona. “How about this: let the previous team hide the item, and the next team has to find it. What do you think?”

Fiona’s face fell. She bit her lip, visibly uneasy.

Layla’s expression turned cold. “What, you don’t dare? Or did I just ruin your little plan?”

With Layla pressing the issue so directly, Fiona had no choice.

Reluctantly, she nodded. “Fine. We’ll do it your way.”

A slight smile touched Layla’s lips as she glanced at Stella beside her.

Stella remained expressionless, showing neither resentment nor surprise.

Layla and the other female contestants stepped up to Fiona’s desk, grabbing their lots before Stella could.

By sheer chance, Layla drew first.

Stella looked at her own slip and blinked innocently. “I’m second, Layla. Don’t make it too hard to find, lokay?”

Layla chuckled, her gaze holding a trace of meaning. “Don’t worry. We’re practically sisters-why would I make things difficult for you?”

With that, she moved aside, thoughtfully studying the five eager males.

Fiona had specified that each female could bring only one male partner to search-meaning whoever joined Layla would get precious alone time with her.

For these competitive males, it was a golden opportunity.

Layla raised a hand, pointing toward Carson. “I’ll need your help, Mr. Fields.”

Carson hadn’t expected her choice.

A flicker of surprise crossed his eyes, followed by delight. He nodded gently. “Don’t worry. I won’t slow you

down.”

Layla patted his broad chest. “I know you won’t.”

She already had a plan.

Since the production team had hidden the item, their scent would linger on it.

Using Carson like a bloodhound might not be the most honorable approach, but it was certainly the fastest.

Nearby, George mumbled, “Why him and not me? Layla, do you think I’m useless?”

Seeing his pitiful look, Layla reached over and ruffled his hair.

Softly, she coaxed, “It’s just that he has a keen nose. Can yours compare?”

Carson’s mouth twitched.

So she really is using me like a search dog.

After a quick wave to the others, Layla declared, “Hold down the fort. This house will stay ours.”

Inspired by her confidence, Oliver gave a thumbs-up. “You’ve got this, Layla! We’ll cook and wait for you back home.”

Layla froze mid-step and spun around, horrified. “No, no-please don’t waste my meat and veggies!”

The group burst into laughter.

Layla and Carson set off first, followed by three Vanguards capturing every angle.

Noticing Carson’s tense profile, Layla hesitated before asking, “Mr. Fields… are you upset with me?”
