Chapter 435 They Want All Agreements Canceled

Panic crept into Xavier’s tone. “Ms. Ciara Grant, you have to think of something. If every partner pulls out, the Grant Group will collapse for good.”

Ciara gasped for air and collapsed heavily into her office chair, on the verge of passing out from fury.

Xavier reached out to steady her, but Ciara shoved him roughly away. “Call an emergency board meeting. This has to be fixed immediately.”

Before Xavier could walk out the office door, an elderly man named Bradley Dean stepped inside.

He shot Ciara a cold, mocking smile. “We would have come to you anyway, Ms. Ciara Grant/We have plenty to discuss.”

His hostile tone made Ciara swallow hard.

She forced a strained smile onto her face. “Bradley, what kind of talk is this?”

Bradley waved her off sharply. “I’m not here for jokes. Multiple shareholders are pulling out their investments. You figure out what to do about it.”

The news that major shareholders planned to pull out their investments shattered Ciara’s carefully maintained composure.

She let out a shocked cry. “Why?”

Bradley let out a bitter laugh at her reaction.

He slammed his fist against her desk and glared straight at her. “What did you promise us? You swore you would drive the Grant Group toward greater success. And what happened instead? You abused the Grant Group’s resources to cover for your useless adopted daughter. Did you think none of us noticed?”

They had chosen to look the other way before, figuring any scandal around Stella would harm the Grant Group first.

No one had foreseen total disaster like this.

If they kept their money tied to the company, their investments would go up in smoke.

Bradley let out a scornful huff. He tossed a document onto her desk and turned to leave, leaving Ciara deathly pale.

Ciara stared fixedly at the paper, burning with bitter defiance

She would not let decades of hard work go to waste. She still held a hidden card.

Ciara breathed out slowly and turned toward Xavier. “Fetch the red communication device for me.”

Xavier had served Ciara for years and knew many of her secrets. Doubt flickered across his face.

He said, “Ms. Ciara Grant, are we really going to reach out to them? If word gets out-”

Ciara cut in, “If we don’t contact them now, I’m finished. The Grant Group is finished, and you’ll end up with nothing. Every shady thing you’ve done for me will come out into the open. Do you want to end up in prison?”
