Chapter 437 We’ve Got Trouble
begging sonre of you bleeding-hearts. Stella has done so much terrible stuff to Layla, and you still argue against any pushback?]
[Hope you keep that same mercy when it happens to you.]
[For real. If I were Layla, poisoning her would still not be enough to get my anger out.]
Layla smiled gently toward the camera.
Her tone was soft and unrushed, easy to listen to. “Everyone, please stay calm. The best way to deal with someone like her is simply to let her reap what she sows.”
Her comment drew a flood of cheers in the live chat.
[Truly the most desirable female of this year. Layla, you have so much grace.]
[I wish I could stay this level-headed. I just don’t have your sharp mind.]
[I would die happy if I could be one of Layla’s mates.]
[Does Layla only prefer males? Why lock onto one gender?]
Reading those playful comments, the five males sitting behind Layla all sat up straight.
People were trying to steal her away.
For once, George and Oliver acted in perfect sync. They stepped directly in front of Layla.
They stared at the live-chat feed and shot back word-for-word. “Layla is ours. Don’t even think about it.”
Oliver nodded rapidly. “Yeah! We’ve gone through thick and thin together. What have any of you done?”
Their possessive display made the live-chat audience laugh.
[George is actually kind of cute like this.]
[I never imagined Oliver would react this way.]
Viewers kept teasing them, and one chat user threw their hands up.
[Whoa, Prince Oliver, we’re just joking around. Nobody would be dumb enough to compete with you guys for Layla. Any one of you could crush me in an instant.]
Liam stepped forward next. He narrowed his eyes at the scrolling comments and huffed in displeasure, “Even jokes are off-limits. I saw people saying they want us, too. Don’t get your hopes up. We belong only to Layla.”
He was openly declaring his loyalty.
Layla shook her head in amusement. She moved the overprotective males out of her way and waved at the camera. “Pay them no mind. They have intermittent brain malfunctions.”

Her remark sparked non-stop laughter across the live chat.
[Inyone else said that, Prince Oliver and General Hartwell would have dealt with them already.]
[Only Layla could get away with that; nobody would dare be mad at her.]
A viewer circled back to the earlier incident. [Layla, are you planning to press charges against $tella?]
Finne
Layla paused to think. “Absolutely. She hurt more than just me. There are still plenty of skeletons in the Grant family’s closet. I wonder how many of them will come out now.”
Her line piqued the audience’s curiosity. Comments flooded in, urging her to say more.
Layla winked mysteriously but did not drag out the suspense. “The Berserker Serum incident most likely ties back to the Grant family.”
A collective virtual gasp rippled through the live chat. Shock filled every comment, scrolling by at high speed.
[Wait a second. Even though I hate Stella, would the Grant family really dare pull something like this?]
[Does that mean they’re colluding with interstellar pirates? That’s absolutely horrifying.]
Layla shook her head. “It may not be interstellar pirates, but it connects to that disgraced medical research team. And Julian is our best witness.”
This bombshell pushed the Grant Group straight back to the top of trending topics.
Layla turned her attention away from the drama. She headed back to her small cabin and got back to work on the survival show.
She kept to her usual steady routine, going about her tasks as normal.
On the outer edge of Planet A13, a small spacecraft touched down quietly.
Several figures dressed in black stepped out.
Cold masks covered their faces. Their eyes, sharp as eagles beneath the masks, moved stealthily toward the show’s camp.
These were Ciara’s first set of operatives, unrelated to the mysterious contact she had called.
Blinded by rage, Ciara wanted to teach Layla a lesson first.
Asleep in his quarters, Liam’s eyes flew wide open.
He sensed something wrong. Without hesitation, he crossed over to Carson’s room and knocked softly.
Carson had picked up on the threat as well.
