Chapter 463 Would Belong to Her
She had split the food into separate, single servings while filling everyone’s plates.
The pickled vegetables were crisp and refreshing-perfect for waking up the appetite.
Layla bit down, and a sharp crunching sound filled the air.

[Wow, I wish I could eat this. I usually hate vegetables, but I would absolutely try anything Layla makes.]
[Same here. It looks so tasty, and the recipe seems simple. I’m heading out to buy vegetables later so I can cook this myself.]
[To be honest, fresh groceries were hard to find around here before. Most people just relied on nutrient solution. Thanks to Layla, several fresh-food shops have opened nearby, though their prices are pretty high.]
[I have re-created many of Layla’s meals at home. They taste amazing. The only problem is, some special plants she found on Planet A13 do not exist where we live.]
A brand-new idea popped into Layla’s head.
Most of these plants only grow on Planet A13.
What if I plant them on a large scale and sell them later?
Layla was shocked by her own plan. She thought the idea was absolutely brilliant.
She jumped to her feet, overcome with excitement.
“What’s it?” Carson looked over at Layla, surprised by her sudden movement.
Layla told him every detail of the thought that had just crossed her mind.
Carson had plenty of business experience, and he saw right away that her plan could work.
He nodded. “You’re absolutely right, Layla. There’s just one catch. We’d need to clear some unused wild land. But the show’s rules say we can’t claim extra ground inside the camp. The only exception is the land directly around our cabins.”
This obstacle did not worry Layla at all.
She grinned widely. “I have a great plan. The open stretch of land outside the Starcore Essence mine is ideal. We could farm there, and we would also be able to keep watch over the mine at the same time.”

Carson nodded again and again. Her suggestion made perfect sense.
Breaking up all that hard soil would be their biggest challenge.
Seven people, including Layla, made up their group, yet clearing such a huge field would still take an enormous amount of work.
Another bright idea flashed through Layla’s mind.
She had powerful helpers she could call on.
Layla walked to her room and changed into lightweight, comfortable clothes.
“I’m going to find the Wormhole Queen,” she said, grabbing a shard of Starcore Essence.
She knew it was smart to bring a valuable gift when asking for a favor.
Layla owed the Wormhole Queen a small debt of gratitude. Many Carapax Beetles had lost their lives fighting against Ciara’s forces last time.
Now she was asking the Queen for help.
“Stay safe out there,” Carson said, concern clear in his voice.
She smiled, “I will.”
Layla stood before the Wormhole Queen and tilted her head upward. “I need your help. This is your payment.”
She opened her palm and held out the Starcore Essence shard.
The Wormhole Queen’s eyes lit up at once. “What do you want me to do for you?”
Layla said, “There is a wide patch of wild land I need turned over. If your workers help dig the soil, we can finish the job much faster.”
Carapax Beetles were natural, skilled diggers. This task was no frouble for the Queen at all. “Very well. I will help you.”
Once their agreement was settled, Layla hummed a cheerful tune while she led a group of lead Carapax Beetles toward the empty field.
She stood off to one side and watched the workers get started. Then something strange caught her eye.

Is there something hidden high up in that tree?
Layla stepped closer and examined the trunk carefully.
Large claw marks were carved into its bark.
She recognized them right away-bear prints.
A bear lives in this area?
That was bad news. She planned to visit this farmland often, and a bear would cause endless
trouble.
On top of that, bear meat made a great meal, and bear hides could be used for all sorts of useful projects.
With those thoughts in mind, Layla stood back to her full height. “Great work, everyone. I’m heading back to the cabin now.”
By the time Layla returned, every member of their group was awake.
Carson had already shared her farming plan with the others.
Liam was the first one to walk over when he saw her. “Layla, are you really planning to grow crops to sell?”
Layla shook her head. “Not right now. Our output will be too low for selling. We will eat most of the harvest ourselves and send any extra produce through Scarlett. She can deliver it free of charge to fresh-food markets across different cities.”
She would launch large-scale production only after Planet A13 officially belonged to her.
Liam nodded slowly as he thought it over. “That’s very smart, Layla.”
Viewers watching the livestream exploded with excitement after hearing her announcement.
