Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 47

Chapter 47 Shane Belongs to Me!

Just then, Shane pushed the yard gate open. He paused, seeing the crowd. “So many people? Ms. Grant is here too.”

Stella kept her head down. “Mhm,” she said softly, not looking at him, as if keeping her distance.

Shane didn’t find it odd. His eyes lit up when they landed on Layla.

At the sight, Layla’s eyes lit up. She lifted her chin, wordlessly asking, “Found it?”

Shane nodded. But with so many people around, he didn’t elaborate. He took off the basket on his back. “I found lots of wild greens and mushrooms.”

Layla guessed he didn’t want too many people knowing about the Starcore Ore search, so she didn’t press. She took the basket from him. It was heavy.

Shane had really taken her words to heart and acted on them.

The thought sent a flicker of quiet pleasure through Layla.

A jolt of alarm shot through her the moment she recognized the feeling.

She shouldn’t be feeling this way.

She and Shane were from different worlds. She shouldn’t develop feelings for him.

Right! That’s how it is!

But faced with Shane’s eager, expectant look, begging for praise, Layla couldn’t just ignore him. She gave him a thumbs-up. “Great job.”

A faint but definite smile curved Shane’s lips.

Watching their interaction, Stella dug her nails deep into her palms.

The pain wasn’t enough to calm her down. She could see it clearly-Shane was already leaning toward Layla.

Even though he kept saying on the live stream that he and Layla were just mates.

But Stella saw the truth. He had to have feelings for Layla.

A guy like Shane, whose whole world was mech design, never cared about praise from others.

Praise or no praise meant nothing compared to his own internal satisfaction.

Even major achievements in mech design just felt like what he was supposed to do.

Chapter 4 Shane Belongs to Me!

But now, because he’d found a basket of greens and mushrooms, because of a single compliment from Layla, he looked so… alive.

He must have feelings for Layla.

No! I can’t let this happen!

Shane belongs to me!

George and Liam are mine too!

I won’t let Layla take them from me!

[How shameless is Layla! Flirting with Shane right in front of Stella! Just to make Stella feel worse! So gross!]

[Layla is the worst! She knows Stella is hurting and does it on purpose, stealing other people’s mates. No shame!]

[Are you Stellights even listening to yourselves? This is how they always are together. They’re in their own home, doing their own thing. Do they have to consider your precious Stella, who just barged in?]

[Just a neutral viewer, but I think Layla is being a bit much. Stella just poured her heart out about her pain, and now Layla is all lovey-dovey with Shane. Isn’t that just rubbing it in?]

[Same. I’m starting to dislike Layla too. Honestly, what did Stella do wrong? The mix-up wasn’t her fault. She’s trying to give it all back. If it were me, I couldn’t do half as well.]

[I couldn’t either. Guess fate just isn’t on Stella’s side.]

[Oh, come off it! Quit pretending to be neutral. She lived Layla’s life for twenty years! She had the Grant family’s best resources, the most powerful mom, and the most amazing mates. Fate isn’t on her side?]

[Exactly! If fate wasn’t on her side, was it ever on Layla’s? The real heiress was abused and mistreated by her foster family. She finally came home, yet her own mother favored the impostor and overlooked her. You all adore Stella so much-would you trade places with Layla? I dare you! You Stellights are something else!]

Stella finally looked up. Her eyes were heartbreakingly red as she gazed pitifully at Shane. “Prof. Slater, it has been a while.”

Shane hadn’t expected Stella to speak to him. Remembering how Layla kept trying to push him toward Stella, whatever little goodwill he’d had for her before vanished completely.
