Chapter 477 You Are Such a Good Man

la tilted her head up to meet his gaze, warm amusement shining in her eyes. “Nothing much. I just think life like this is perfect.”

Liam lowered his head and rested his forehead gently against hers, his warm breath washing over her skin. “As long as you are happy, we will always stay right by your side.”

Heat rushed to Layla’s cheeks, and her heart began to race.

She was just about to reply when George’s loud, complaining voice rang out behind them. “Liam, you’re clinging to Layla again when none of us are watching. That’s not fair at all!”

George hurried over carrying the freshly brewed herb-blossom drink, his face clouded with dissatisfaction.

Oliver and Shane followed close behind. Even Shane’s usually calm eyes held a hint of quiet protest.

Layla had nearly forgotten-Shane might seem mild-mannered on the surface, but he could get extremely jealous.

Layla quickly stepped away from Liam. She took the cup from George’s hands and coughed softly to ease the awkward moment. “Alright, cut it out. It’s getting late. Everyone, go get some rest. We need to wake up early tomorrow morning to check on our young plants.”

Though the others were unhappy, they obeyed Layla’s request and trundled off to their rooms.

They shot Liam glares full of irritation and silent challenge as they left. Layla laughed quietly to herself, her heart filled with warmth.

Since Carson’s injury had not fully healed, Layla decided to sleep beside him for the next few nights. She wanted to keep an eye on him in case any complications arose.

Resting next to Carson made Layla feel completely safe.

She dreamed of blue skies, white clouds, green grass, and flying birds. When she woke up, she felt refreshed and energized.

Birdsong drifted in through the window, bright and clear. Fresh, damp plant scents hung in the cool morning air, lifting her spirits.

Layla glanced over beside her. Carson was already awake; his side of the bed had long since grown cold.

She changed into lightweight clothes and opened the front door. Carson was already hard at work in the yard, organizing wooden buckets and hoses for watering. His movements were smooth and practiced.

He turned around at the sound of her footsteps, paused his work, and smiled, “You’re awake, Layla. I just heated up water for you to wash with. Breakfast should be ready soon.”

Layla looked out over the neatly-kept yard. Concern for his injury weighed on her mind, and she walked over to stand in front of him.

Seh frowned. “Even though the medicine is helping you heal, you still need plenty of rest. Let the rest of us

handle these chores.”

Carson shook his head gently. “I couldn’t fall asleep. Getting up and working early helps me feel grounded

Het down his supplies. “I’ll go with you to water the plants in a little while. We can finish the job much faster together”

Layla nodded with a smile.

Carson’s breakfast was light and refreshing. Once she finished eating, she headed toward the farmland withy

him.

The other males were still fast asleep inside the cabin.

Layla and Carson walked side-by-side toward the field. The garden brimmed with fresh morning life.

Tiny yellow sprouts peeked out from the newly-planted seeds, swaying softly in the breeze. They looked healthy and promising.

Layla crouched down and ran her fingers lightly over the young leaves, her expression soft and nurturing.

She smiled, “I hope these plants grow quickly. Then we will have fresh vegetables to eat, and we can share some with the production team and the other contestants.”

Carson stood beside her and poured water over the rows with a ladle, his tone full of confidence. “They will thrive. With all the care we’ve given them, they won’t let us down. Besides, you succeed at everything you set your mind to.”

His warm, admiring gaze stayed fixed on her.

Thoughtful and steady, Carson watered carefully along the edges of each planting row instead of pouring directly over the fragile roots. He controlled the flow of water with perfect precision.

Watching his focused, careful movements, Layla’s heart stirred.

True to his role as wolf pack leader, he quietly gave his all and paid attention to every small detail.

She spoke softly, “Carson, you are such a good man.”

Carson froze mid-motion. He turned back toward her, a faint blush coloring his cheeks, joy glowing in his eyes. “I would do anything that makes you happy.” He reached out and brushed a stray piece of grass off her shoulder.

They spent over an hour working in the garden until every single sprout had been watered.
