Chapter 83 Share With Everyone

But right now, Stella’s feelings weren’t the priority. He was a male. And males, of course, put their careers first.

Caleb stepped forward, puffing out his chest. “Don’t try to make this about Stella and me. Are you willing to share your salt with everyone?”

Layla stared at him, genuinely caught off guard. She scratched her ear. “Sorry, what was that? I didn’t quite catch it. Could you say that again?”

[Didn’t catch it, or can’t believe what you’re hearing?]

[It sounds like someone’s talking out of their ass.]

Caleb actually thought she hadn’t heard him. He repeated himself. “I said-share your salt. With everyone

“We’re all on this show together. Any resources anyone has should be shared. Don’t you think hoarding it all for yourself is a little selfish?”

“I’m selfish?” Layla laughed in disbelief. “Can I ask what brilliant conclusion you based that on?”

“Am I wrong?” Caleb didn’t think he was wrong at all. “Even if you won’t share with anyone else, you should at least share with Stella, shouldn’t you?”

Layla was speechless.

“What, you don’t agree? This is exactly what I’m talking about-females like you are impossible to manage. You get a little skill and suddenly you think you’re above everyone else.

“Stella is your sister. She came on this show because of you. She dragged herself to this godforsaken planet just to give those males back to you. Don’t you have any gratitude? You have something good, and you won’t share it with anyone-not even Stella. I have never seen a female as selfish as you. No wonder no male wants you.”

Layla could barely follow Caleb’s train of thought.

“So what you’re saying is that because we’re on the same show, we should share everything?”

“Exactly!” Caleb straightened his back and looked at Layla with something approaching approval. “You’re not completely hopeless after all. Now hurry up and hand over the salt. Split it with everyone.”

“Is that what you think, or what Stella thinks?” Layla turned to look at Stella.

She wanted to see if Stella had the nerve to admit it.

“Cal is just expressing his own thoughts,” Stella said quickly, clearly afraid Caleb would throw her under the

bus.

Cal?

Layla gave Caleb a long, complicated look. It was a wonder Stella could even bring herself to call him that.

Chapter 83 Share With Everyone

[Wait-what does Stella mean by that? Didn’t she put Caleb up to this? Does she think we’re all blind?]

[Does she think nobody watches their streams? She’s lying through her teeth right in front of everyone.]

[How is Stella putting him up to it? She just felt bad that Caleb failed, so she tried to comfort him. When did Stella ever tell him to go steal Layla’s salt?]

[She didn’t say it outright. But she did say, “I wish Layla would share her salt with everyone.” That counts. Don’t act like we don’t recognize the game. Back when I was playing the innocent girl routine I wouldn’t. have stooped to such obvious tactics.]

Layla could see that Stella was using Caleb as a pawn.

Most of the live chat could see it too.

But Caleb couldn’t. His entire attention rested solely on Stella calling him Cal. He seemed reborn-standing taller, chin raised, looking down at Layla disdainfully.

“It’s my idea. And I suggest you hand over the salt now. That way, if anything happens, people might actually bother to protect you.

“You’re a female on a barren planet, with danger all around. If you possess something precious that you can’t protect, it will only bring ruin. I don’t mean to scare you, but there are fifteen males here. Push them too far, and you won’t survive it.”

[This guy is shameless. Just because he’s like that, he thinks everyone is?]

[To be fair, he’s not wrong. In a life-or-death situation, females are the first to get thrown under the bus.]

[Excuse me? Have you seen Layla fight? She went toetotoe with General Hartwell.]

[Can Layla’s fans stop with the lies? General Hartwell was going easy on her because she’s female. You don’t hit a girl. Female bodies have limits. No matter how good she is, there’s only so much she can do. In a real fight, Caleb would wipe the floor with her.]

[Layla can’t beat Caleb. Males have a natural advantage. Stop hyping her up.]

[Honestly, where do males get this confidence? If I had half their delusional self-belief, I’d be unstoppable.]
