Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 9

After being shut down earlier, Stella's fans, who had been lurking and quietly watching, couldn't help but jump out again.

[Layla is playing hard to get, publicly rejecting him while teasing him behind the scenes. How shameless! Stealing someone else's mate is disgraceful!]

[Could you check your logic before you speak? They're the prospective mates of the Grant family heiress. Is your main even part of the Grant family?]

[Having the same blood makes her family? The head of the Grant family decides who's family.]

As the Stella fans stunned the livestream viewers with their twisted logic, Layla built a makeshift stove from stones, contributing the fire she carried, which saved the trouble of striking flint.

She found a smooth, flat stone to heat.

The stone was quite thick. While waiting for it to reach the right temperature, she made bamboo tubes from leftover bamboo used to build the treehouse. Then she cracked eggs into them, added chopped ramps and salt, and stirred.

Finally, she poured the egg mixture onto the heated stone slab, cooking it slowly into an oil-free ramps omelet.

Meanwhile, she selected potatoes and buried them in the ash beneath the stove.

By the time the omelet was ready, the potatoes were nearly done as well.

The chickens on this planet ate only natural insects, so their eggs were even richer and more flavorful than ordinary free-range eggs.

With one bite, the egg's rich aroma filled the mouth, and the ramps remained crisp and sweet. The flavor was perfect.

However, the charred potatoes pulled from the fire made one wonder if they were even edible.

Shane frowned and started to speak, "I..."

Layla broke open a potato. Beneath the charred skin, the yellow flesh oozed with juice, a sweet aroma enticing.

She offered half to Shane. "This potato is really good. Try some. Oh, right, what were you about to say?"

"Nothing," he replied, closing his mouth.

He reached for the potato, but before he could take it, she pulled it back.

"No, you definitely have something to say." Layla used the potato to coax him. "Think of what you wanted to say."

He said, "The ramps omelet was delicious."

"Correct!" she beamed, handing him the potato, her eyes sparkling.

Her face was flushed from the stove's heat, a bit of soot smudging one side, making her look slightly disheveled but still beautifully vibrant.

Shane lowered his gaze, biting into the potato. "The potato is delicious, too."

Layla grinned, "If it's delicious, you should say so. Otherwise, how would anyone know?"

Viewers in the livestream chimed in.

[Stop talking, we already know it's delicious. Let us try some, please!]

After eating, Layla let her food settle, then lay down in the treehouse to sleep.

Without a phone or smart device, staying up late seemed pointless. Better to sleep early and wake up early. Tomorrow, she was going to catch those chickens!

Once the Vanguard detected that its host was resting, it entered sleep mode as well.

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the bamboo slats, landing on her curled eyelashes.

Layla stretched and flew down from the treehouse. "Good morning, Prof. Slater."

"Good morning. The water's already boiling," he replied, having woken up earlier. Hot water bubbled in a bamboo tube on the makeshift stove.

Surprised, Layla exclaimed, "You know how to start a fire?"

In the novel, if Stella was a useless female number one, then Shane was a close second, a genius mecha designer with zero survival skills.

Shane was quite fortunate. Early in the show, he was hounded by the former Layla, who tried to win his favor by bringing him various foods.
