"Did you just say..." Sienna looked at the consultant, "both Eleanor and Helena placed an order?"
The consultant nodded. "Yes, Mrs. Sterling. They had the estate's butler contact our boutique yesterday morning."
Sienna tapped her finger lightly against the catalog, lost in thought.
"Show me what they chose."
The consultant immediately flipped the catalog open.
"Mrs. Eleanor Sterling selected our flagship Classic Collector's Edition sapphire necklace."
She pointed to the most luxurious and intricate design on the first page, smiling. "The gem is Cornflower Blue, sourced from Mogok, Myanmar. Sapphires from that specific region are practically non-existent on the open market now. She has a spectacular eye; this is the most valuable piece in the entire collection."
The consultant then flipped to a later page.
"Mrs. Sterling opted for something different." She pointed at two images. "She selected two utterly unique raw gemstones, along with a pair of custom-made heels. She plans to have the gems embedded into the shoes—one on the left buckle, and the other on the right heel."
Sienna raised an eyebrow.
That was classic Helena. Her fanatical obsession with hoarding out-of-print, limited-edition jewelry was famous throughout high society.
Rumor had it her walk-in closet was more spectacular than an actual luxury showroom. She possessed exclusive pieces that even the brands themselves no longer had in their archives.
"Why didn't she choose the sapphire necklace?" Sienna asked. "Knowing her, she would never pass up a collector's edition like this."
"Because it is the Classic Collector's Edition, there were only three sets available," the consultant smiled. "Aside from the one Mrs. Eleanor Sterling secured, the other two had already been claimed by our other top-tier VIPs. By the time she made her choice, all three were spoken for."
Sienna nodded thoughtfully.
As she flipped through the catalog, an entirely different plan rapidly took shape in her mind.
"Did they pay in full?" she asked suddenly.
The consultant blinked, clearly surprised by such a specific question.
The consultant's smile froze completely on her face.
She opened her mouth as if to speak, but swallowed the words back down.
The team behind her turned pale, exchanging horrified looks.
"Mrs. Sterling..." the consultant's voice dropped several pitches.
"Those items have already been reserved. Would you... would you like to see something else? Our jewelry is crafted to perfection, and every piece holds immense collector's value, and..."
"I want exactly what I just asked for."
Sienna's voice wasn't loud, but it left absolutely no room for debate.
She didn't even look at the consultant. Instead, she kept her head down, slowly and methodically smoothing out the wrinkles on her blanket, as if stating an undeniable universal law.
A fine layer of sweat had already broken out across the consultant's forehead.
