Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 187

When Sienna wheeled Celeste into the factory, a crew of vicious-looking men was already waiting.

Every single one of them was heavily armed with top-tier tactical gear, radiating a lethal, bloodthirsty aura.

Just standing in their presence was enough to inspire paralyzing fear.

Forcing herself to remain steady, Sienna slowly pushed Celeste forward.

She locked eyes with the leader, a testing smile playing on her lips. "I assume you all know exactly who this is? You've been taking her orders every day, so she shouldn't need an introduction."

The leader frowned. He exchanged a quick, silent glance with his subordinates, but no one said a word.

Sienna scrutinized their micro-expressions. They were well-trained, betraying no obvious cracks.

Either they genuinely didn't know, or their acting was flawless.

At that moment, the gagged Celeste began screaming and thrashing wildly again.

Sienna shot her an icy glare before reaching out and yanking the rag from her mouth.

Finally able to breathe, Celeste immediately shrieked, "I don't know them! These men are ruthless killers! Stop provoking them, you're going to get us both killed!"

Ignoring the hysterical sobbing, Sienna shifted her focus back to the cartel leader, speaking in a measured, deliberate tone. "If you don't know her, I'll gladly make the introduction.

This woman right here is the one Jarred Sterling actually cherishes. A quick internet search will show you just how many times Jarred has walked through hell for her.

He has risked his own life and nearly died multiple times to keep her safe.

If you want to cripple Jarred, or bait him into a trap, Celeste is the only person on earth who will make him surrender unconditionally and do whatever you want."

"I only have one demand." Sienna's eyes were absolute steel. "Give me my brother back, and Celeste is all yours to deal with as you please."

The leader stared at her for several long seconds before letting out a dark chuckle.

"What makes you think I'm going to negotiate? I'm taking all three of your lives!"

The leader's face turned livid. He stared at Sienna, absolute disbelief written across his features.

He had assumed a frail, defenseless woman wouldn't be able to pull off anything drastic, which was why he had so easily agreed to the location change.

He never imagined this woman possessed the sheer insanity required to outplay a room full of armed mercenaries.

Sienna didn't give them a single second to strategize.

"I'm going to count to three. If I don't see my brother, we all die together. Three! Two!"

With every number she called out, the color drained further from the men's faces.

The tension in the factory hit an absolute boiling point, throwing the entire cartel into disarray.

Right as Sienna opened her mouth to shout 'one', the leader finally cracked. "Stop! Bring the boy out!"
