Silas cast a brief glance at Luna before returning his focus to Sienna.
His demeanor had softened considerably. Though he still spoke in that detached, lukewarm tone, the sharp edge was gone.
"You set the reserve price. I'll handle the marketing and send out the invitations. Once it sells, I take a forty percent cut."
"Thirty," Sienna corrected.
Silas chuckled. "Did you even do your research before walking in here? My cut is forty."
"I said seventy-thirty. My seventy, your thirty." Sienna looked at him with deadpan seriousness.
"The moment this necklace hits the auction block, it will draw in countless wealthy women. Even if Helena can't buy it herself, she'll hire proxies to bid for her, and that won't just drive up the price of this necklace.
It'll inflate the value of every other piece in your inventory. The returns you'll see go far beyond a mere percentage of one sale.
Having this necklace in your exchange is a pure win for you. Since you're reaping all the benefits, shouldn't I get a slightly better slice of the pie?"
Silas took a deep breath.
He had been in this industry for years and had dealt with all kinds of people.
But this was the first time a woman had dared to haggle with him on his own turf—and with such unflinching confidence.
The worst part was that her logic was flawless. He couldn't find a single weak point to exploit.
"Deal."
Looking at her triumphant smile, Silas suddenly felt like he had been expertly played.
He smirked, stood up, and walked toward the door. Without looking back, he paused and said, "Sienna, you are not at all what I expected."
Before Sienna could ask what he meant, the door clicked shut.
Luna let out a massive exhale and leaned in, whispering, "Oh my God, that man is unfairly gorgeous. I was actually scared to breathe too loud in case I disturbed him."
Sienna couldn't help but laugh. "Pull yourself together."
The staff sprang into action, and within seconds, the closest employees had swarmed him.
"Is that really necessary?" Luna muttered.
The secretary smiled politely. "You might not know him, but he's quite famous in certain circles. He specializes in providing emotional value to wealthy, single women.
He organizes private parties, plans vacations, and caters to their specific needs. He always brings in top-tier goods, and his clients are incredibly generous."
Sienna and Luna exchanged a knowing look.
They had seen this dynamic plenty of times.
Just as there were women groomed exclusively for rich men, there were men who catered exclusively to wealthy women.
Sienna withdrew her gaze and was about to keep walking toward the exit.
Suddenly, something caught the corner of her eye, rooting her to the spot.
