Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 308

Maloney and Jarred simultaneously took a half-step forward, their tall, broad frames stepping smoothly to act as a solid wall in front of Sienna.

Both men radiated nobility and commanding power, their auras icy and overwhelmingly oppressive.

One was cold and composed, the other wild and razor-sharp.

Though they hadn't said a word, their silent, protective stance was glaringly obvious and utterly unapologetic.

The screaming elders froze instantly in their tracks.

Seeing this, Helena was so furious she practically choked on her own breath.

Pointing a trembling finger at her two sons, she shrieked hysterically, "You two! Whose side are you even on? Why are you turning against your own flesh and blood?!

Your own mother is standing right here, your grandmother is right here! How can you help an outsider scheme against your own family?"

The matriarch pulled a long face, barking an order at them, "Jarred, Maloney, get over here right now!"

Jarred didn't move an inch.

He shot a careless, indifferent glance at the two furious women, his voice dropping to a low, chilling timbre. "It isn't your place to override Grandfather's decisions in this house."

Maloney spoke up calmly as well, his demeanor still mild, yet the lethality in his words was entirely undiminished.

"It's written clearly in black and white. To go against Sienna is to go against Grandfather. Are you really that eager to test those waters?"

The matriarch and Helena turned ghostly pale, opening their mouths to argue, but finding absolutely nothing to say.

But what shocked Helena and the matriarch even more was yet to come.

Dr. Clayton quietly stepped out of the crowd, walking over to stand right behind Sienna.

Dominic organized his documents and moved to stand by her side as well.

Shortly after, several highly respected family elders who had always been fiercely loyal to the patriarch stepped forward to flank Sienna.

Helena's face swelled to the color of bruised liver, while the matriarch slammed her cane aggressively against the marble floor.

But there was absolutely nothing they could do to these people.

Dr. Clayton was the patriarch's most trusted confidant, and Dominic held a legally binding proxy.

The elders standing with her commanded immense respect within the clan; no one dared touch them.
