Silas sauntered out from the back room.
Dressed in immaculately tailored, expensive clothing, his lean figure exuded an elegant charm, completely lacking the flustered rage of a typical businessman.
Even watching his life's work and billions of dollars in inventory being destroyed,
he merely kept one hand casually tucked in his pocket, a half-smile playing on his lips.
A flicker of pain crossed his eyes, but there was no hostility, let alone any intent to resort to violence.
He leisurely picked his way through the shattered treasures and stopped in front of Sienna.
His tone was lazy and amused, carrying his usual teasing drawl.
"Tsk, tsk. What a grand spectacle. Ms. Sloan came all the way to my humble turf to throw a tantrum?
A whole room of rare treasures, smashed to pieces. My heart is practically bleeding."
Sienna didn't even bother giving him an extra glance. Her cold eyes locked onto him, her voice icy.
"When you set up this filthy trap to play me, did you ever consider how humiliated I would be?"
Silas let out a low chuckle. The corners of his narrow eyes tilted up slightly, radiating a predatory vibe.
He knew he couldn't hide it, and he had never planned on playing dumb in front of Sienna anyway.
He had always admired her intelligence, her fierce temper, and her ruthlessness.
Since things had come to this, he might as well lay his cards on the table. "Since you're already here, I won't beat around the bush."
"For years, he's always kept me at arm's length."
Silas tilted his head slightly, tapping his chin with a slender finger, his posture relaxed and provocative.
"I asked you to host that dinner purely to test his limits."
His smile faded a fraction, but he still didn't show anger. "I just wanted to see if he's naturally cold and indifferent to everyone, or if he's only indifferent to me.
Yes, I spiked that glass of water."
His confession was blunt and absurd. He had used her as a pawn in his twisted romantic game, calculating every step.
Rage boiled in Sienna's chest.
She could accept business warfare, but she could not tolerate being used as a tool to test someone's feelings.
