Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 478

Watching from the front seat, Declan could visibly feel the temperature inside the car plummeting.

Sure, his Boss had more money than he could spend in a lifetime.

But that didn't mean just any woman was allowed to hemorrhage his wealth like this!

Just as Declan was secretly sweating in panic, unable to hold back his anxiety any longer.

Jarred's chilling, low voice sliced through the heavy silence of the car: "Turn around. We're going to the hospital."

Declan quietly reminded him, "Boss, you have a board meeting this morning..."

"Do you need me to teach you how to write an absence request?" his voice was unmistakably laced with lethal irritation.

Declan didn't dare say another word and immediately swung the wheel around.

Sienna was on duty at the hospital today.

She had just wrapped up a consultation and was walking out of the conference room when she noticed a commotion at the end of the hallway.

A group of nurses was huddled together, whispering furiously.

When they saw her approaching, their expressions shifted into something incredibly awkward.

"What's going on?" Sienna asked.

One of the nurses hesitated, then handed over her phone. "Dr. Sloan, you should see this...

Daisy has been posting pictures of all her new stuff again.

I heard she blew through nearly five million dollars of your... I mean, Mr. Sterling's money today."

Sienna took the phone and glanced at the screen.

It was a selfie of Daisy.

She was wearing an obviously exorbitant dress with a massive diamond necklace draped around her neck.

The bandage on her forehead was still intact, and a literal fortress of luxury shopping bags was stacked next to her.

[Staying exquisite even in the hospital. He says he loves seeing me smile.]

Sienna handed the phone back, her expression completely unchanged.

"As long as she's happy," she said. "She's spending Jarred's money, so it has nothing to do with me."

Sienna turned, fully intending to head back to her office.

At the far end of the corridor, a tall, imposing figure strode into view.

Jarred was walking fast, his handsome face pulled taut, his jawline as sharp and merciless as a blade.
