"Stop!"
Luna Lennox had run so fast she had lost one of her shoes.
She shoved aside the bodyguard blocking the way, shielding Sienna perfectly behind her. She held up her phone, pointing the camera straight at the people in the room.
"I'm broadcasting this globally! Thousands of people are watching your assault right now!
The viewer count is still climbing. Move one more muscle, and the entire Capital—hell, the whole world—will see the Sterling matriarch ordering a malicious attack!"
The two bodyguards froze instantly, their hands stalling mid-air with the stun batons. Their eyes darted nervously toward the older woman on the couch, caught in a dilemma.
But the older woman didn't even bat an eyelash. A contemptuous smirk curled her lips.
Her tone dripped with disdain and arrogance. "A livestream? You little brat, you must not realize that the Sterlings control the entire nation's network.
Forget your little broadcast. Even if you tore a hole in the sky, fixing it would just take one word from me."
Luna's wrist instinctively pulled back slightly.
Sienna immediately noticed Luna's completely blank screen, her fingers tightening into fists.
The older woman lifted her chin, her voice frigid. "Grab her phone and smash it."
A bodyguard lunged forward as Luna struggled desperately.
But the disparity in strength was too great. The phone was slammed onto the floor, the screen shattering into a thoroughly black, dead display.
Luna's face drained of color as she cast a guilty, panicked look back at Sienna.
Seeing the frantic terror in her friend's eyes, Sienna slightly raised her gaze, giving her a reassuring look.
Sienna, however, remained totally calm, lifting her eyes to meet the older woman's arrogant gaze. "You can command commissioners and control the Capital's police, but can you control tens of millions of netizens?"
The older woman's sharp eyes locked onto her. "What do you mean?"
"Luna's phone wasn't just tied to the alarm system; it was synced to upload data to both internal and global networks in real-time."
Sienna kept her expression cool. "The second her phone was smashed, every single frame of uncensored, high-definition footage was already uploaded to the police intranet and major overseas social platforms.
Right now, millions of international internet users are watching exactly what happened here. They're watching the Sterling matriarch enable her thugs to commit violence."
The older woman's expression shifted slightly, clearly doubtful. "Fearmongering! You think a few fabricated lies will scare me off?"
Sienna didn't waste her breath. She pulled her own phone from her pocket and tapped the screen rapidly.
She then held the phone up, flashing it right in the older woman's face.
