Willow's head snapped up, staring at him in utter disbelief. He had slept on the floor without a single complaint because he genuinely thought he was a husband being punished?

She almost laughed out of frustration. Was she supposed to praise him for being such a devoted husband?

Taking a deep breath, she gritted out, "You have the wrong person! I am not your wife!"

Lucian looked at her innocently, amusement hidden deep in his silver-grey eyes. "Are you still upset? If you aren't my wife, why are we living together? Why did you buy me clothes and put ointment on my wounds? Isn't it because you love me?"
