"Xavier!" she screamed, unable to hold back her fury. "Are you even human?"
Her eyes were bloodshot, and her fingers trembled uncontrollably.
Was this truly the brother she had grown up with?
How could their parents have raised such a vicious monster?!
For a brief moment, Xavier couldn't bring himself to meet her gaze.
Unbidden, memories of their childhood flashed through his mind—the way she used to look at him with pure adoration.
She would cling to his leg, sweetly calling his name, begging him to buy her strawberry cake.
Back then, he had genuinely cared for her. Coming home to her innocent smile used to wash away all his stress and exhaustion.
So why... why had things ended up like this?
Now, the sheer revulsion in her eyes made him feel less like family and more like a mortal enemy.
All he wanted was for her to be obedient and listen to him for once.
Stubbornly looking away, his voice turned icy. "I don't want to do this to you, Willow, but you left Tessa with no way out. Just do as you're told, and no one will lay a finger on you."
He said it with such maddening self-righteousness, acting as if she were born simply to sacrifice herself for Tessa.
She laughed, tears streaming down her face as the last shred of familial love she held for him completely shattered.
They might share the same blood, but she would never show him an ounce of mercy again.
From this day forward, he was nothing but an enemy!
Her chilling expression made a surge of panic flare in his chest. Frowning, he issued his final ultimatum. "I'm giving you two minutes to think about it. Don't blame me for the consequences—you brought this on yourself."
