Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 264

Tessa writhed under the biting sarcasm, but Silas made no move to defend her. Left to fend for herself, she had no choice but to brace herself and negotiate.

But before she could even utter a syllable, Willow pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

Who was she calling?

The question had barely formed in Tessa's mind when she heard Willow say, "Elias Landon, your wife owes me three hundred million dollars. Bring the cash and bail her out!"

Willow actually felt a surge of adrenaline as she hung up.

She felt like she had a real flair for the extortion business. Honestly, threatening people for money was surprisingly satisfying.

Lucian chuckled softly beside her, the corners of his lips tipping upward.

On the other end of the line, Elias sounded momentarily confused. "What?"

"I'm at the Shaw Estate," Willow demanded. "You have thirty minutes."

Her tone was commanding, yet Elias didn't feel a shred of anger. Instead, he found her bossiness oddly charming, assuming she was just eager to see him.

He let out a low laugh. "Wait for me."

The sound of his affectionate chuckle made Willow's skin crawl. She hung up immediately without another word.

Meanwhile, Tessa stood frozen, a look of absolute devastation washing over her face.

Her eyelashes fluttered rapidly as her breathing grew erratic.

Before going back to the Landon estate to stage her dramatic suicide attempt, she had called Elias multiple times. Every single call had gone straight to voicemail.

But Willow?

Willow had dialed his number, and he had picked up in less than ten seconds.

Why?

She was his legal wife!
