Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 357

Before she could finish her sentence, the rapidly plunging aircraft jerked upward, leveling out with a violent surge of G-force that robbed Anya of her voice, leaving her choking and coughing aggressively.

Anya's pupils shrank as she instinctively glanced toward the cockpit, unable to see the scene inside clearly.

But through the small window on the door, she caught a glimpse of the pilot's face!

His eyes were bruised, his lip was split and bleeding, and his gaze was filled with absolute horror.

At that moment, he seemed to be forcefully pinned against the glass, unable to move an inch.

Anya's heart pounded furiously as she looked around, finally realizing that the assistant who had boarded with Willow was nowhere to be seen!

She wasn't stupid; it only took a second of critical thinking to figure out what had happened!

She stared at Willow in pure shock, a wave of disbelief crashing over her as she wondered if Willow had known her plan all along.

That was why she hadn't panicked for a single second! She had even brought a pilot onto the plane!

The mere thought of it sent a freezing chill down Anya's spine.

The gun in Willow's hand was still pressed firmly against her head, her posture unchanging throughout the entire ordeal.

Two seconds later, Willow tilted her head. "Why did you stop talking?"

Anya's throat felt tight, her brain buzzing with static.

She had severely underestimated Willow, which was why she had been caught completely off guard!

Anya gasped for air, forcing herself to calm down.

Then, she lowered her eyes and whispered, "It was... Daphne. The Princess of The Sovereign Isles."

Hearing that name, Willow slightly raised an eyebrow.

In all fairness, Anya's answer made perfect sense; Daphne certainly had the motive for a stunt like this.

But the problem was...

Lucian Jagger should be at The Solarian Palace right now discussing the termination of their engagement, and she trusted that Lucian wouldn't let Daphne run wild.
