Willow's voice grew sharper by the second. "Can Daphne just murder anyone she pleases? Do we have zero human rights here? Is everyone just a pawn for Daphne's twisted entertainment?!"
Seeing her take the accusations further and further, Chamberlain Reed's eye began to twitch violently.
He instinctively glanced around. Daphne had been an arrogant tyrant her whole life, and almost everyone present had suffered at her hands at some point. Hearing Willow's words struck a powerful chord with the crowd.
Noticing the validating anger brewing in the bystanders' eyes, Reed completely panicked. He sternly reprimanded Willow, "That is absolutely false! If you continue to slander Daphne's reputation, I will be forced to—"
Before he could finish, Willow calmly cut him off. "Oh? Slander? Have you forgotten that I have video evidence of both incidents? Do you want me to release them to the public?"
Cold sweat beaded on Reed's forehead as his words caught in his throat.
If those videos leaked, the Royal Family's prestige would be shattered, reducing them to the laughingstock of the world!
If an ordinary citizen threatened him like this, he would have made them disappear without a trace ages ago.
But Willow was untouchable!
Setting aside the fact that she was the woman Lucian Jagger loved, deeply tying her to the Jagger family...
Her mother was Luna Shaw!
If those powerful figures found out, the Royal Family wouldn't be able to handle the fallout!
Reed took a sharp breath, forced to compromise. "I... I will take you to see him."
Satisfied, Willow glanced back at Sylvester. "Bring Scarlett with us. I want a blood test done right in front of the King!"
Scarlett looked deathly pale. Over the years, she had caused endless trouble hiding behind Daphne's name; if this reached the King, there would be a full-blown investigation!
When all her past transgressions inevitably surfaced, how many times would she have to lose her head to pay for them?!
Scarlett deeply regretted provoking Willow. She desperately wanted to threaten, bribe, or beg Willow to drop the matter entirely.
But her pride wouldn't let her!
Sylvester held up the hand she had used for the attack as if he were carrying a stray kitten, his tone freezing. "You better not try anything funny, or don't blame me when I snap your wrist in half."
The blunt, violent threat paralyzed Scarlett with fear.
