Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 373

Inside the cramped utility shed, Willow fought hard to suppress her laughter, completely unable to stop herself from collapsing against Lucian's chest.

She couldn't see the spectacle unfolding outside, but from the dialogue alone, she could picture the sheer terror on Daphne's face.

It was absolutely hilarious.

When the royal family drugged Lucian, they never could have predicted things would spiral into such a chaotic disaster.

Lucian merely raised an eyebrow. While he wasn't entirely caught up on the plot, one look at Willow's smug expression confirmed that this was entirely her handiwork.

She was incredibly sharp.

He steadied her shaking shoulders, his silver-gray eyes brimming with absolute adoration.

Beyond the door, after a brief, stunned silence, Daphne finally snapped out of her daze.

She furiously denied the accusations. "Sylvester, yes, she is a maid from my wing, but I have absolutely nothing to do with this! Stop trying to pin every little thing on me!"

Sylvester scoffed loudly and turned toward the pathway. Stepping out from behind the shed's outer wall was a man moving with slow, regal authority. His normally stoic face was drawn into a tight, severe frown, radiating sheer displeasure.

Daphne's eyes widened in horror the moment she saw him. She immediately dropped her gaze, her voice trembling. "Father..."

She didn't dare look up, but she could feel King Alaric's heavy, scrutinizing stare boring into her.

It was a look dripping with judgment.

A fresh wave of panic washed over her.
