Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 53

Ten minutes later, Willow finished preparing the IV bag. Asher still hadn't woken up.

She didn't pay it any mind. Just as she finished hanging the IV, her phone rang abruptly.

She looked down and saw Beatrice's caller ID. Her eyes darkened slightly, and she answered the call.

Beatrice's somewhat shrill voice instantly came through. "Willow! Why haven't you deleted the post yet? Do you really want to lose your job? Don't think I don't know you're back at The Landon Medical Center! If you don't want to lose this position, hurry up and clarify things!"

Willow chuckled. "Mrs. Landon, do you know that your voice is truly grating? Every time I hear you speak, it makes me want to throw up."

Beatrice was stunned by this remark. The next second, her fury surged even higher. "Willow! I'm firing you right now!"

"Great." Willow's response was crisp and calm, the tail end of her sentence carrying a hint of malice. "I hope you hurry up so I don't look down on you. Can you afford the severance package?"

With that, Willow hung up the phone.

Beatrice was about to lose her mind over this attitude. Had Willow gone crazy?

She used to be so obedient. If Beatrice made a single call, no matter what Willow was doing, she would drop everything and rush over. Even if Beatrice called her for something as trivial as a massage for a headache, she never complained.

In Beatrice's mind, Willow was the perfect servant, and a free one at that.

Now, she was suddenly disobedient and speaking to her with such a sharp tone. How could Beatrice tolerate this?

She had given the girl a chance, but if she didn't cherish it, she couldn't blame her for being ruthless!

Furious, Beatrice sent a message to HR to officially terminate Willow!

As for the severance package, Beatrice only offered half!

She wasn't about to let Willow off that easily!
