What kind of drama was he trying to stir up now?
Willow had absolutely no patience for him. Without even fully looking at the screen, she hit decline.
However, the second the line disconnected, he called right back. It seemed he was determined to blow up her phone until she answered.
Annoyed, she just blocked his number.
A moment later, the screen lit up again, but this time it was Elias Landon.
It finally clicked in Willow's head. Both of them desperately trying to reach her right now? This had to be about the Jagger family pulling their partnership.
Had York really been that ruthless? Did he actually completely sever their supply chains?
Why else would these two proud men be relentlessly hounding her?
Her mood instantly improved. This time, she accepted the call.
On the other end, Elias let out a massive sigh of relief. Glancing at Xavier's dark expression, a twisted sense of triumph bloomed in Elias's chest.
See? He knew Willow still cared about him. Why else would she ignore Xavier and answer his call?
Elias pitched his voice into a soft, affectionate register, mimicking the tone he used back when they were still a couple. "Willow..."
"Spit it out," Willow snapped coldly. "If you call me that again, I will send a recording of this call straight to your wife."
A wave of disgust washed over her. If she wasn't so entertained by the prospect of them begging, she never would have answered.
Elias's confident smile froze. Assuming she was just throwing a tantrum, he sighed patiently. "Don't be so hostile, Willow. Let's just meet up and talk things through."
"I have absolutely nothing to say to you," Willow replied lazily. "My terms are non-negotiable. If you want me to put in a good word for you, hand over ten percent of the Shaw family shares. I won't accept a penny less!"
Xavier, listening in on the call, completely lost his temper. "Do you really have to be this vile?! You don't even deserve to be called Mom and Dad's daughter!"
